Many give up. I know many people who say 'well it's the way it is and it's what our government has imposed upon us so there is little we can do'

Yes I agree Richard - the general message IS disturbing - even if the figures given are squiffed. It would though lend far more credibility if the source got at least the Brit side of things right!
But I don't think the electorate has quite got to the roll over and tickle my tummy stage. Lets just see what happens if Benefits ARE frozen while immigration still isn't tackled effectively.
BTW thanks Bapak for that info on retrospective treatment of immigrants. Oh - and Usual Suspect must be older than I thought - remembering the Ladas?
