Nice little bakery

Post by bapak »

Have found a with products as good as the best in Hua Hin. Ran by a young lady who originally worked at the German Bakery and who extended her expertise at various locations in Bangkok.
Has only two tables to sit down and eat breakfast or lunch but the shelves are full of fresly baked items. Beware that the croissants go very quickly.. we always seem to miss out unless preordred.
Morning Bread is located at Soi 94 Petchkasem Road, Block No. 3 (next to the Indian Restaurant), 083 957 2598.

Bapak ...this place isn't far from where I stay so I thought I'd go and check it out. I was anticipating getting some of those croissants that go very quicly & maybe some other goodies.
Got there just after 7am, the sliding door was half open. The missus asked if they were open. "No" the woman said, "normally open at 7am, but today will open at 8am".
So I went back at 8.15am. Looked same, same. Inside shelves were bare.
"No bakery today" they said.
I may give them one more chance as its not far from me, if that fails I wont waste my time again.

I went there this morning to check the situation. Was told that they remembered the farang who came early Monday morning. The problem was that it was raining which caused a lower temperature than normal in the bakery... and bread/dough would not setlle (probably not using the right word but I am sure that a "baker" will correct me). The owner thought that she had emplained properly to the farang but apparently not.

Thanks bapak. Both times she spoke with my wife. She said it was raining, but I didn't get all the details that you got about the baking process etc.
I thought the rain meant no customers would come, or somethings wouldn't get delivered.

What time are they meant to open? My wife went down again this morning about 7.15am and they weren't open.

Will try again tomorrow morning, maye get a result.

Phone number is actually 085 957 2598.Tried phoning the above number before going but wrong number.

Still no joy though, wife went there about 8.30am this morning and all the croissants were gone.

Life is so hard!
