It's that time again....... some great rugby this weekend: -

The Blackness vs God's Own
Crims vs Beelzibub's XV
Jaarpies vs The Pasta Munchers
Corned Beefies vs Sweatties

First up not a good one for me..... will have to bet with the heart despite the fact we're understrength, playing a side on a high after shipping 66 points past last years 6 Nations runners up, playing (the final match) at the "House of Pain"........ and last but not least against the world's no.1 ranked team whom we haven't beaten for 57 years

Wales by 3!!!!! :D

Don't forget to make your picks.......

Superbru now has the Currie cup and Tri-Nations open Pharvey. Go ahead and set them up. The Currie thing should be fun as we know nothing about the teams, just like the Super 14! :thumb: Pete

it wasn't looking to bad at half time :|
second half was a bit of a butchering  & when the all blacks play like that, they are practically unstoppable :|

dan carter? what a player :thumb:

Will do Pete..........

Well, a pretty encouraging first half performance from Wales, going in at the break 15 vs 9 down, but taking the major share of territory and possession  :D .......... followed by an painfully depressing and fairly inept second half performance   Wales going down 42 vs 9

Truly bl**dy frustrating being a Welsh rugby supporter :banghead: :banghead:

Can't take anything away from the Blackness though, completely different league

Well, next up the Green & Gold against Beelzibub's XV...... Johnny "One Kick" to start. If Australia get some parity in the scrum, it'll be curtains for England I think.......

England have to get a bit more of a clue in the backline - they can hardly rely on getting penalty tries through the forwards each week

Anyhow, hopefully a tad closer than todays opening game!!

Yep, Big, Big performance from England - not great from Australia, but that takes nothing away from the Lillywhites' display.

Certainly not the result I predicted, but congrats on a great win

yes, excellent performance by Scotland to win 2-0 down in Argentina, against a full strength Pumas team (bar hernandez, who admittedly is some player).

Well done to England, didn't see the game but a win is a win, always like to see the Aussies getting beaten.

As for Wales, well not quite the 50 pointer I expected but close enough. If games of rugby lasted 40 minutes we'd be allright! Too many basic errors when in good positions - against the best teams we just can't afford to do that. I don't think Saturday's 2nd test will be a close affair either - obviously, I hope they can prove me wrong!

i doubt any team could have stopped the all AB's the way they played in the second half :|

& obviously i'm hoping they don't prove you wrong this saturday

At the end of the day, the Blackness are on a completely diferent level. Wales played bloody well in the first half and possibly for 10 in the second. The problem being that they gave it their all.... and then NZ stepped up a gear. Until we can get "match fit" rather than "gym fit", we'll never live with these guys.

Despite the scoreline, we gave them a far harder test than the paddies - at least that's something.
