I have started to make plans for the annual pilgrimage (that would be the 2nd.) to the Emirates on the 16.10 when we play against the Brummies. Hopefully, I will be able to make it. Last year Í was able to see the match against Blackburn and with air tickets from Helsinki to London being cheaper than train tickets from Helsinki to my home town (about 45 Euros), it's really a matter of free time.
I suppose its all action for premier league fans on Saturday night with 3 live games
at 6.30pm 9.00pm and 11.30pm and then Sunday night at 7.00pm and 10.00pm
Do you get all those? Very sociable viewing times indeed.
Its still not been officially confirmed, for some reason.
Roy Hodgson is a very experienced manager and has done a great job at Fulham rescuing them from relegation certainties to Europa Cup finalists in two seasons.
He has been in management for 34 years in many countries and his teams include Inter Milan,Blackburn,Malmo and the Swiss national side.
He seems to be able to get the best out of lesser players and clubs,Fulham being a prime example, but has not won trophies and is not what you would call a big name manager.
Also he is 62 years old so it is unlikely he will be at Liverpool for a long stint.....if they are lying 15th in the Premiership in November it could be quite a short stay !
But,realistically,no big name manager would be interested in coming to Liverpool at present.
The club are in a mess. There are huge debts incurred by the appalling owners,Hicks and Gillett, who have brought a guy in as interim chairman,Purslow, who is their "yes man" with no thought of the future well being of the club.
The club is up for sale and the sooner Liverpool can be rid of those three scumbags the better.....and I am a Manchester United supporter !
Hodgsons thankless task is to try and bring some stability to the club.He has got to try and persuade the likes of Gerrard,Torres,Kuyt,Mascherano and Benayoun to stay at a club that is currently rotten to the core.....and it wont be easy !
Hodgson comes across as a decent man with a shrewd brain so what you might ask is he doing at Liverpool ? Well,at 62 he wont get many more chances to manage a big name club and he should get a decent payout if it all goes wrong.
But will be interesting to see what Baa-Baa thinks ?
As an aside,I see it was just another ordinary week at Manchester City with them signing Yaya Toure from Barcelona and David Silva from Valencia.
Also they are interested in signing James Milner and Gabriel Agbonlahor from Aston Villa for a combined fee of 44m GBP.....if I was O'Neill I'd snap there hand off !
But I can see City challenging Chelsea for the title this season with Arsenal 3rd and United 4th.
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,

Yes. We've been doing the "I Know the Score" competition for the last 4 seasons - or is it 5?
buksida normally organises it closer to the time. Have a look here at last season. Only 30+ pages: http://www.huahinafterdark.com/forum/vi ... 77&start=0

I read that Fabregas is now hinting that he may stay at Arsenal and never said he definately wanted to leave anyway. I wonder if this could be because he has spent most of the world cup on the bench, the preferred midfielders all belong to Barcelona. He saw into the future and didn`t much like it.

why ever not?
in footballing terms, they are a massive club
personally i think it's a terrific appointment.

your lot aren't exactly flush either, thanks to the glazers

what a negative response
what about the chance to rebuild a top club but with the bonus of having some really top class players to begin with?
i think he'll be a success
