Standard Chartered Bank

Post by PeteC »

Anyone have an account with them here in Thailand, or anywhere, and can comment on their customer service and offerings? Thanks. Pete

Yes, I've been banking with Standard Chartered in Hong Kong for many years, with very few problems. They are a little pricey, like all UK banks, but their service is good

I have got accounts with SCB in Thailand and the U.A.E, I don’t use the Thai one very often, but when I have they have always been helpful.

Have banked with them previously also in HK and found them to be pretty decent, but have found HSBC to be slightly better (changed due to recommendations) and moved to them. My account is actually in the Channel Islands, but I deal with the guys in HK as it suits time difference - and works well.

I guess it all depends on what you/the account need(s) to do
