I think he must've seen his Bruno look in the new Liverpool shirt.

barca should either come up with a realistic offer of £50/60 million or stfu!!!
it's getting slightly tedious now
as far as i'm concerned he can go if he wants to, just not for anything near what barca offered & not for under £50 million either :|

He's not worth £50 million but Wenger/Arsenal were very clever in tying him down to a 6/7??? year deal (that's pretty much unheard of) it gives you a lot more leverage.

Agree about Barca though, I used to have a bit of respect for them but this Cesc saga has become ridiculous, the blatant tapping up has made them as bad as Real in my eyes.

Both classless and seemingly above the rules.

i don't think any player is worth that kind of money, but because he has so many years of his contract left, his age & current market values, i think £50 million would be about right :|
i'm sure madrid or man c would pay it :| which is what could be the following scenario if he puts in a transfer request.

as for barca & their players, . . . a pathetic bunch w**k**s & i hope that when spain goes into the recession thats looming, they go bankrupt  :D
they're half way there with the amount of debt they already have, despite the success they've had over recent years!!!!!

And he wouldn't go to either, he'd see out his contract at Arsenal instead of moving to one those two shithouses.

A bit like our Nando.

Is there any Premier League club that's making money, or for that matter any top four in any EU country? I don't think anyone has ever mentioned any money makers at all? Pete

Arsenal for a start, Liverpool would be profitable if we weren't paying ONE HUNDRED AND TEN THOUSAND POUNDS A DAY on Hicks and Gillettes interest rates on their leveraged buyout.

Off to bed now, I've been following a thread on the CHINA INVESTMENT CORPORATION buyout all day and my eyes hurt.

Reports also suggest that LFC may join Man C in becoming the plaything of a Middle East consortium, this time from Syria. So, no beer advertising or pies sold during Ramadan! Mabrouk.

This Middle East issue sounds like Japan in the 1980's when they bought the world.....then sold it in the 1990's. I think the ME will be a short term player in these events, they have nothing but crude, and that is being replaced, running out or not being bought. They'll retract/withdraw, just as Dubai/UAE has done generally because of the region's economics.

The Chinese on the other hand have a full house, just like Japan did. Depends upon how they play their cards. They could be a long term player, in which case Liverpool may be the first of many? Pete
