One shot on target and Saints lose their nerve. Same same last season, it will take the Saints at least ten games to start winning.

Green Army

It's a long haul - 45 more games to go. There's no point wasting all of your chances on the first game. :D :D :D

It's great :naughty: to stuff the favourites for the League 1 title at their home ground on day 1. :neener:

It was real Roy of the Rovers stuff at St Marys last Saturday. Times must be hard at Southampton - they won't allow photographers into the ground. If you want a photo, you have to buy it from the official photographer.

The local Plymouth rag, The Evening Herald came up with their own novel solution - they sent a cartoonist instead:

Maybe this should have been in the News of the Weird thread :D

Hey Big Green Boy found you , l think.

I do love your authoritarian positioning Big Green Boy "I've said this before, but the Green Army are not worthy of being discussed on this thread. Can you please continue your lust for real football on the correct thread viewtopic.php?f=28&t=15732 . As much as I enjoy discussing the Green Army, if the discussion is to continue, it must be in the right place".

Will obey Sir.

Not another disaster with Peterborough?.
Is this because of my interest?.

Still researching ,thanks for the link.
Will be back.

Welcome to the lower echelons of the Sport Forum. It can get a bit smelly stuck down here in the cellar.
another disaster with Peterborough?
Yes, that is probably the understatement of the day. Three out of five of the Green Army's strike force are active current international players, yet they couldn't hit a barn door from 6 yards at the moment. Of the other 2 strikers, one is Wright-Phillips (sick note) and the other went on loan to Scotland last season, and scored 2 against the mighty Celtic on his debut.

Hopefully Peter Reid will sort things before 31 Aug 10 deadline. He's been seen hob knobbing it with senior managers such as Sir Alex in the last week.

Still, no game next week with 4 players on International duty - you don't hear that with many 3rd tier clubs. Maybe Reid can get the team working better on the training ground, and blending with a couple of top tier loanees. It's a long way to the end of the season yet.

I did not appreciated Peter Reid was your Manager.

Thailand has had its far share of English ex managers.

Bryan Robson,Peter Reid and Peter Withe.

Met Peter Withe at a function held in the British Embassy in Bangkok a few years back.
Nice chap,knew his football.
Thais did not like his shorts and casual attire.

Hey Big Green Boy the cellar looks OK matie and not that smelly :naughty:

Hey Big Green Boy, been on hooolidays for a few days.

Wanted to post before l went away, that l know what my attraction(that maybe way too heavy :D ), interest in Plymouth Argyle is.

Bradley Wright-Phillips

BWP is the son of Arsenal legend Ian Wright and the half-brother to England and Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips. Don't rate Shawn.

So you have Arsenal blood in your ranks  :D

Come on take those sticks out the eyes, chance one eye on Arsenal mate :duck:

Who is up next for the Green Army?

More commonly known as sick note - a complete and utter waster. Southampton knew what they were doing when they released him with no fee. Unfortunately, the Green Army can't give him away.

Away to Colchester on Saturday- should be worth another 3 points.

Not bad when you consider the WHU reject was sent off early doors.

Bonds N'Gala = WHU? yes.
As in West Ham United.
Sorry, not use to these terms. Not taking the St. Michael mate.

Did look like "hand bags at 50 paces" as 4 others got booked.
Also "sick note" found his note as he got substituted at # 10 Wright-Phillips (MacLean 75).

Brighton and Rochdale up next.
Could be tough!

Question.. why 2 games in a week?

It's because the Green Army have too many internationals. It is not the norm for a team in the 3rd tier of English football to have so many international players that it would affect their team if they played. Therefore they have to play catch up when games (during International Breaks for the 1st and 2nd tiers) have to be postponed
