A draw is OK.
A win great.
First game of a long season ahead can go either way.
Following on from the Worlds Cup also.

Re: Premier League 2010-2011
Knowing Hodgson, he will be building a solid defence soon. I don't think that's quite ready, yet. It will be before the season is over, though. Then again, our defence looked very, very shaky against Warsow. A good keeper would help there a lot and also the presence of Song will help. I think it will be a high scoring match 3-2 for Arsenal.

He's got the tools, we're usually pretty solid defensively, Reina's had the most clean sheets in the league in 4 out of his 5 seasons at the club, including last year.Bamboo Grove wrote:Knowing Hodgson, he will be building a solid defence soon. I don't think that's quite ready, yet.

i think thats more down to reina himself rather than the defenceBaaBaa. wrote: He's got the tools, we're usually pretty solid defensively, Reina's had the most clean sheets in the league in 4 out of his 5 seasons at the club, including last year.

we are gonna be as good as ever going forward but as bamboo says, our defence is still lacking a top quality keeper & an 'aerial' attacking centre back.
i've heard from a good source that schwarzer is gonna sign tomorrow

he'll do until our young polish keeper (not fabianski

biggest worry for me, no alex song for sunday, meaning we could be a bit exposed

Apparently old Arsene put a £20 mill + bid in for Pepe last week, no thanks.redzonerocker wrote:i think thats more down to reina himself rather than the defenceBaaBaa. wrote: He's got the tools, we're usually pretty solid defensively, Reina's had the most clean sheets in the league in 4 out of his 5 seasons at the club, including last year.![]()

there isn't a keeper on earth that wenger (or anyone) would pay £20 million for, is there?? . . . .maybe casillas or buffon??
it will be late fitness tests for all 3, though i expect they'll all be in the squad & feature at some point . . . . .hopefullyOr Denilson and Van Persie and possibly Fabregas? Is that right?

not to worried about denilson, there are better young players emerging, maybe wilshere or frimpong will play instead

fab did play 45 mins play for spain in mexico so he shouldn't be far off

Reina's better than both and yes I know Casillas starts for Spain.redzonerocker wrote:there isn't a keeper on earth that wenger (or anyone) would pay £20 million for, is there?? . . . .maybe casillas or buffon??
Anyone? Joleon F*****N Lescott went for £25'000'000. Chris Smalling just joined Man Utd for £11'000'000. So yeah, I'd put Reina in the £30 million bracket.

if i had a choice of any keeper for us, my top 5 would be either;
hart, casillas, buffon, cech, gomes, in any order
