That should take all of 5 minutes viewing time.
Sorry VS but someone had to say it.

Good catch. Email sent. Let's see tomorrow if adjusted. Pete :cheers:
It's been fixed and points adjusted accordingly. Thanks again, Pitsch. Pete :cheers:

I'm not Ferrari's number two

http://www.bangkokpost.com/breakingnews ... acer-massa

* Published: 29/07/2010 at 11:55 PM
* Online news: Breakingnews

Felipe Massa insists he is not Ferrari's number two driver despite being 'ordered' to pull over and allow teammate Fernando Alonso to win last weekend's German Grand Prix.

The 29-year-old Brazilian was leading at Hockenheim before his team 'informed' him on the radio that his Spanish team-mate Alonso was quicker.

After that message delivered with only 17 laps to go Massa deliberately slowed down to allow Alonso to pass and claim victory.

Ferrari were subsequently fined 100,000 dollars and referred to the World Motor Sports Council for breaking the rule banning team orders and bringing the sport into disrepute.

Speaking ahead of Sunday's Hungarian Grand Prix, Massa insisted that should a similar situation arise in the future, he would expect to win the race.

When asked what would happen if he was faced with the same situation, he replied, "I will win.

"The time I say I am number two driver, I will not race any more. I have spoken to everybody inside the team and as I said I am not here merely to race, I am here to win. That is really my point.

"As long as I am in the condition to win, we need to go to the end, to fight for the victory.

"I am a professional, I work for the team and everybody has to understand my point."

Massa added that the decisions he made in Germany were for the benefit of the team and recalled when he had supported Kimi Raikkonen in 2007, and that Raikkonen had returned the favour in 2008, when Massa was chasing the title.

"I am working for the team and we know how important it is to work for the team," he said.

"You remember what happened in 2007 and 2008, so I don't think I have to go through all the points. If the team really has the chance to win the championship, I want the best for the team."

Things are tightening up. Lindosfan remains in first with 141, but VS has closed to within 3, with Pitsch and JJB within 5 now.

Pharvey, Randy, VS and Parahandy had the best race, all with 12 points. Oz and I were the only two to pick Webber as winner.

Quite a long break now until August 29 for the Belgian GP. I guess holiday time. Maybe we'll see some drivers in Thailand? :shock: :D Pete :cheers:

Vs is closing up now makes it more interesting.
Getting a bit more difficult to forecast now.
Schumacher only docked 10 grid places, at the next grand prix, imo should have been suspended. Never have liked him.
Good luck
to all

It's certainly becoming a bit of a lottery now, and any in-depth knowledge of the teams and drivers can easily be discounted when FIA rules and breakdowns occur.

Lindos: I was actually quite a fan of Schumacher when he was in his prime. He was an outstanding driver and a great tactition (sp?). He has sadly now lost all my respect fumbling around in the middle of the field, and what he did yesterday was totally unacceptable. He should have faced at least a one-race ban for that manoeuvre.

It was a predictably boring race (apart from the 'excitement' in the pits :shock: ). Can't wait for Spa - the ultimate drivers' circuit and my favourite race.

An action packed race from what I read, unfortunately didn't see it. :( Two of my picks seemed able to run into each other though. :shock:

BB and RZR had the best race both with 12 points, and both picked Hamilton to win, along with Mr. Bones, the man from Greece, and the man from China.

Lindosfan with 151 points has regained first place from Vital Spark.

Next up on September 12 is the Italian GP at Monza, arguably the most famous racing circuit in the world. Good luck to all. Pete :cheers:

It seems, there can only be an interesting race, if there is a bit of rain in between. Otherwise also this race would have been boring and the finish would have been more or less the same ranking as one round after start.

Vettel showed another time what will happen if you try to overtake. Always when I pick him as winner, he makes some blunder.

You're right, very little as the weeks go by to keep one's interest. I know NASCAR is simply fast stock cars on an oval track but plenty of excitement, more than Indy cars IMO. Rally driving is fun to watch also, as is motorcycle GP. The aircraft races are great and never a dull moment going through those big pylons sideways. :shock: No on-line pools for these though unless they're hidden somewhere. Pete :cheers:

Lindosfan had the best race this week with 13 points and is now beginning to accelerate away from Vital Spark 164/159. JJ Bones was the only one to pick Alonzo as winner.

A two week break now, then the Singapore GP on September 26. Only four races left including Singapore so time to pull some rabbits out of the hat (or carburetor) if someone is going to overtake Lindosfan. Good luck to everyone! Pete :cheers:
