Re: Imagration of Hua Hin is going to move to Three Sisters
About one month ago I was at the restaurant and asked the staff. They confirmed it and also the part of the building that was a car wash, was being rebuilt.

That's a good deal for any restaurant, a windfall. Their business should boom with the people waiting ordering this and that. I wonder if there is a profit sharing deal?
Silly question.

When are they moving from Soi 23 ? to near Three sisters / 3 girls restaurant ?
Re: Immigration of Hua Hin is going to move to Three Sisters
OK I went to Immigration today for my annual one year visa (RIPOFF FEES)paid 1900 baht which you get a receipt, and a 500 baht transfer fee which you do not get a receipt for, because it goes into their pockets, I have called BKK Immigration Office, and they say there is not any extra fees associated with passports etc. and transferring info for any extra fee, so you figure it out.Pundi64 wrote:Has anyone confirmed this??

Getting back to the moving of the Immigration Office to 3 Sisters Restaurant, they said it'll happen in 2 months, or when the office is finished, ready to move in, so could be 2 months could be longer, the way Thai's do construction and finish work

I have never experienced this and nor have I ever heard it from anybody else - including HHAD.
Was this your first experience?

I don't agree that the visa fees are a ripoff, if anything they're too cheap.
But yes I can verify that HH immigration charge 500 baht to transfer a visa from old to new passports and Bangkok do not charge for this.

maybe the title needs changing so nobody gets confused
the name is three girls and its on the klong road about 2/3 kms on the right hand side as you head from hua hin centre.
the offices are nearly finished, they are bigger than the old one,so good news no more moving when somebody wants to leave there desk.

I did the very same today and was also charged 500 baht. A good day for the tea money indeed.Pundi64 wrote:OK I went to Immigration today for my annual one year visa (RIPOFF FEES)paid 1900 baht which you get a receipt, and a 500 baht transfer fee which you do not get a receipt for, because it goes into their pockets, I have called BKK Immigration Office, and they say there is not any extra fees associated with passports etc. and transferring info for any extra fee, so you figure it out.Pundi64 wrote:Has anyone confirmed this??![]()

So, you got ripped off. Its put your back up....
record said scam (including pointing out that BKK said no transfer fee) and
A) Report the matter to BKK Immigration in an official complaint
B) Report the matter to the police as theft and/or corruption
C) Report the matter to the Bangkok Post and The Nation and get them involved - they seem to be on an anti-officialdom scam drive at the mo.....at least write a spiky letter.....they do publish them.
or
D) Shut up, put up, carry on carrying on. Find a way of cutting them out of your visa situation if you can, grin and bear it if you cant.
This Is Thailand.... and you are just a cash cow. Sad but true

Re: Imagration of Hua Hin is going to move to Three Sisters
Am I wrong, or did I pay baht 1900 for my retirement visa, back in 1999? So the fee has not gone up since then, or has it?
Baht 500 for transferring a visa from one passport to another seems cheap to me, even if it is done without a receipt.

I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.
Re: Imagration of Hua Hin is going to move to Three Sisters
The Visa fee is 1900 THB what i am saying you get a receipt for this but it is the in-pocket 500 THB where there is no receipt, it goes into their pockets. Hope they don't read your answer, $hit then they'll charge more for what they are paid to do in the first place, by the Government.buksida wrote:I don't agree that the visa fees are a ripoff, if anything they're too cheap.![]()
