I played a lot when I was younger and so enjoy the Cricket Test matches. Yesterday was really something special with England set to be all out for less than 100, against Pakistan, until saved by a 'tail-ender', Chris Broad, who is unbeaten on 125 (a record) and Trott, unbeaten on 149. The 244 partnership with Trott was also a record.

I can't see the team defeating the Aussies on this form but it was still great to see Broad in particular show that the bowlers can produce a bit of batting magic from time to time.

I think you mean Stuart Broad, Chris was his father. Australia always had the knack of getting their tailenders to score when the top order failed.

I wouldn't place much weight on the success of any match against Pakistan, what with the News of the world revelations. Not a positive story . 'He's out he's out, no he's dropped the bet, oops the ball.(I'm glad Mr Plum played Cricket when he was younger 'cos can be murder on the joints when playing later in life.)

However, it will be interesting to see the new cricket side Australia is building.

I believe Freddy F will be playing local cricket in Brisbane as part of his comeback campaign.

Well, the current match deteriorated into a farce!

The whole thing stinks and what's interesting is the beeb's commentory on one of the no-balls alleged to have been betted on - how the hell can you bet on a no-ball!!!

Looks like they are on the way to being completely and utterly nicked.

New of the World has published more this morning. Looks like these guys have been caught with with loads of cash in their hotel rooms and about 4000 pounds of it match the serial numbers of the money the paper paid the go between middle man.

It does look very bad for Pakistani cricket and devalues Broad's tremendous knock, even if achieved honestly. I had thought of bowling a few no-balls myself at the annual Dusit cricket fest but was told I already bowl so many that bookies wouldn't offer any odds.
