Hi all,
Apologies if this has already been answered but couldnt find anything myself.
My husband has a retirement visa and I 'piggy back' on it. The annual renewal date is Nov 27th but for some reason the 4th 90 day report is on Oct 17th. Does anyone know if he would just get a few weeks extension or if we should go to the bank and get the guarantee letter anticipating that we would need to renew the annual visa early ? Any helpful advice appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Retirement visa renewal
The 90 day reporting and visa extensions are separate issues. After this 90 day report the next will be when the visa extension expires.

Re: Retirement visa renewal
You'll need two trips to Imm. The first to do the 90 day report and then again to do the annual extension closer to 27th November.
Imm normally allow you to apply for the extension up to 30 days before you actually need to, so the 17th October date will be too early.
Don't leave the annual renewal until the last moment in case Imm want some more papers. If you apply early, you won't lose any time and your next renewal will be valid until 27th November 2011 even if granted, for example, on the 1st November.
