[quote="Terry"]I think the games are great

Apparantly, the route of the city cycle race blocks off both entrances to our office here in Delhi - so - no work tomorrow

Shame that, it would be much more interesting if they had to negotiate the normal Delhi traffic.
BTW didn`t the official who welcomed Prince Charles also thank "Princess Diana?"

on the happy side, Australian Swimmer Geof Huegill has thrilled Jum, his Thai mum with a silver medal. Geoff's a big boy and shed 45 kgs on coming out of retirement to qualify for the team.

I believe so.

A guy named Kalmadi (Who will be investigated after the games.......yehright) was the culprit. He is accused of creaming off millions of rupees in games funding on various scams - yet he was still allowed to make the buffooning opening address.

Thank God it's all over

We can get back to normal Incredible India.......................... :banghead:

An Indian colleague was waxing lyrical this morning about the 'World Class' event and how many medals the Indian team had won and that they had beaten England to second place........

So - says I

Please compare the TOTAL numbers of medals won by England and India - then compare the populations of both countries - around 52m compared to 1.2bn.........!!!!!!!!!!!
