Funds

On the issue of repaying RBS, Hicks claims he was prevented from doing so by a 'conspiracy' which included high ranking officials at Anfield, including club chairman Martin Broughton.

He said: "We did have the funds available to pay off RBS in its entirety. But between RBS and the chairman and the employees that conspired against us, we could not pay off the debt.

"I know exactly why that was, they had the ability to. This was an organised conspiracy and it went on for months. It consisted of the Royal Bank of Scotland, Martin Broughton - who wanted a good PR event in his life because he's a Chelsea fan, he's not even a Liverpool fan - he wanted to be scene as the guy who got rid of the Americans."

Hicks feels he and Gillett have been cast in an unfair light and have been wronged throughout the takeover ordeal.

He is now keen for the real story to be told and is fully prepared to go back to court in order for his side to be heard.

"I just want the truth to come out in the courts," he said.

Great result. The British High Court needs to be careful though. When all these law suits start they have to be impartial, handle it correctly, and explain the law used in the decision clearly to the media. If they don't, we'll have a month of CNN reports on the perceived national prejudice of the court system. Pete

At last now : we can get back to normal, i.e. taking the p*ss out of Liverpool and Baa Baa whenever possible without feeling like we`re abusing a disabled child.

Richard, Leeds have never, ever been in any big four and Liverpool only got there in the 60's! (debate)

Certainly are, Hodgson has to go, he's the worst manager at Anfield in my lifetime, absolutely shambolic. We were thrashing european giants 18 months ago.

Certain people suggested he'd be a better fit than Benitez, he's not fit to lace Rafas boots. He makes Redknapp look like a tactical titan and he hasn't even got any of 'Arrys redeeming qualitys.

The media have seriously landed us in the shit with this one, I hope the new owners see through it and have him out ASAP.

I've never called for a managers head before but this guy shouldn't have been here in the first place, 3 months in and I can't even see any glimpse of his team shape or philosophy, he is shocking as I said he would be.

Oh of course, the former owners, the current manager, the media they`re all to blame. Nothing to do with the players?

The former owners depleted the squad, alot of the current players are not playing well enough but have also had some pretty impressive results not too long ago, it's the manager who is serving up this turgid shit!

Or is he exempt from blame? Just before I start giving you some examples of what an awful, negative, archaic manager he is!

I didn't blame the media for our current results, I blamed them for the LFC board employing a football dinosaur with no previous achievements.

Hodgson is shocking, he is massively out of his depth. I hope the new owners see sense and boot him out on his arse as soon as possible.
