I agree Hodgson was a poor choice to replace Benitez.
But if he goes who do you see replacing him ? O'Neill,Pelligrini ??
Two many "journeyman" players in your squad. The likes of Konchesky,Kyrgiakos,Maxi Rodriguez and Lucas. They should never be at Anfield.
Also,Joe Cole.....you can see why Chelsea wanted rid of him and he hasnt featured for England for a while.
Could be a while before Liverpool are challenging for the top again but,as you recover, you are likely to pass Manchester United on the way down in a couple of seasons.

Yep, that's who I wanted in the first place.

It does look like the wheels are starting to come off over there. Manc friends of mine refuse to believe the trouble they are very likely to be in.

I can't wait for next season's Merseyside Derby!

Liverpool v Tranmere Rovers.
The only things I regret are the things I didn't do

The first league match I ever saw as a small boy, Plymouth Argyle v Liverpool, it was the old second division, so chin up Baa Baa, if you are relegated you have a history of fighting back to the top.

Don't worry BaaBaa, it's unlikely that they'll drop 2 leagues (a la Leeds) to play the Green Army again.
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

Coming week is their best chance to pull one out against Blackburn. After that, Bolton then Chelsea. Even if they lose to those two, I'd like to see them get a win under their belts next week. Would do their mentality a world of good. Pete

I think the only thing Hodgson has failed in so far, is stopping the rot that finally surfaced last year. Be interesting to see if he is given the time needed?

That's a few years back Arc, was your team still in Plumstead then?

He's also failed to get the team to play football in any way, shape or form.

He's awful, I don't see anything that suggests otherwise, his tactics are archaic and his press conferences are embarrassing.

I hope he doesn't get anymore time, I dread to think what what he'd spend our first transfer kitty in years on.
He needs to go before he does anymore damage.

Nice to see Aquilani getting man of the match and scoring a screamer at the weekend, Hodgson loaned him out and gave them £4 million for the worst midfielder I've ever seen at Anfield, they must be pissing themselves.
