Thanks Pharvey. Who the heck are the Barbarians in Round 6?

I'll also put in a subtle reminder that Randy hasn't picked in the Currie Cup final yet. Maybe he's forgotten. Pete

Who the heck are the Barbarians in Round 6?
The Barbarian Football Club, usually referred to as the Barbarians and nicknamed the "Baa-Baas", is an invitational rugby union team based in Britain. The Barbarians play in traditional black and white hoops, though players retain the socks from their "home" club strip.

Membership is by invitation and the only qualifications considered when issuing an invitation are that the player's rugby is of a high enough standard and secondly that he should behave himself on and off the field. Being asked to become a Barbarian is an honour and not one restricted to British players. Traditionally one uncapped player is selected for each match... 8)

Thanks Randy, sounds as if it will be interesting. I hope they all practice together enough to make the match worthwhile. We now have to determine Baa Baa's involvement in this pirate organization, something covet no doubt. Pete

Superb game though - Australia snatch it a minute into injury time........ and thoroughly deserved in my book.

Unfortunately a fair few of my predictions went south this week - not least the one where the Long Haired General would let me out to drink copious amounts of beer and welcome me home with a warm smile and open arms...

Well Pharvey, you have the weekend to recover from your depression. :P Seeing that it happens so infrequently, has there been any talk in Rugby circles about playing an extra period or set amount of time in case of a draw at the end of regular time? Pete
