A new Mexican Restaurant

Post by Super Joe »

Just walked through the long night market and noticed a new Mexican called Margheritas, is about opposite where the last Mexican used to be, about 10 units in from the middle crossroads, going towards train tracks.

Appeared to be Thai run, at least that's all I saw but I only walked past.

Anyone eaten there? is that HHF's car I hear starting up?

Think it's run by a guy from the states who breakfasts occasionally on Petcha near soi 80

The car would be warming up now but I'm in Bangkok at the moment!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I didn't see it when I was in HH last month! I'll have to try it when I return, hopefully real soon.

"Real Mexican Food By Real Mexicans" indicates it's not Thai-owned!

The place is owned by a very pleasant Mexican gentleman, Alberto. He is currently involved in getting his work permit and rest of the paperwork in proper order. He counts it'll be another two weeks before they really are up and running.

Margaritas is now open but does not as of yet have the full menu available due to paperwork being delayed. They do serve snacks and excellent margaritas. On sampling them I am sure the Highest Authority of Mexican Food in Hua Hin, the venerable Fiesta Fred would approve of the samples of the delights to come.

I just can not wait when they are up and running. ¡Buen provecho, compañeros!

Wow its amazing to see that word spreads around quickly. Thanks for the kind words so far and for posting a picture and directions to our place.

To answer a few questions that were brought up, yes it is run by two foreigners, Ed and Alberto, we are open now on the Night Market. We are on the section closer to the railway tracks, with the seafood restaurants, directly across from Hua-Hin Seafood. Due to some slight paperwork issues and work permit related problems we are not fully open, but we are serving our Margaritas as well as appetizers (home made chips and salsa, chicken "flautas", "ceviche", shrimp cocktail, and tuna "empanadas") at the moment.

Starting Friday, November 26 we will also add the chicken and beef burritos and tacos to the menu so we can start serving dinners as well. As time goes on, we will be adding more and more to our menu. So come by, give us a try and see what you think of the place. Would love to see you all there.

Thanks again for your words and enthusiasm.

I take your point, but I think you are being a bit unfair on edtxag. If he was really self promoting he would have started this thread - he was only responding to peoples comments.

Exactly.

And with TT's following post from some one who isn't even based in HH I expect edtaxg to join the many one post members.

I wonder about this forum sometimes.

As an almost new member of the forum I,m wondering. From how many different countries are there restaurants with food and drinks in HH and where are they located?
