Transport - soi 156 to/from HH Town Center

Post by MLS »

Hi, I might be moving to Heights 2 and would welcome any feedback on the development and area. Also, could anyone let me know if there is any way(s), apart from driving my own car, to get to and from Hua Hin town? If there is an other option(s), any idea of cost?
Cheers.

Hi MLS,

I'm afraid that I can't help with your question (never heard of Soi 156, but guess it's a long way out of town).

Welcome to the forum anyway.

Get out to Phetkasem road and look for the salas (Bus stops). Catch the small orang bus into town . Pay approx30 Bht. (Not sure of price from soi 156). The bus is approx every 30 mins but operate on Thai time and stop at night!

Charlesh is correct... my out-law's live on Soi 156 in Khao Tao so we are very familiar with 156.
Orange bus into HH is 30 baht. Also try eating at the little restaurant at the entry of 156, nice meal for 35 baht.

We were told 3 weeks ago (by the out-laws) a farang lady had just purchased 10 rai of land up near Baan Hua Hin on Soi 156 which will be developed into farang housing.

Villa's II is a great complex, let us know if you buy there and want to rent it if you are not there full time that is. Can also offer my mother in law's service for cleaning etc etc, just shoot me a PM if you need any other info and I will consult the wife.

There is also a great seafood place overlooking the beach. I manage it fine on my motorbike even with my 75 yr old Dad on the back!

The orange baht buses stop at 9.00pm and stop were the night Market is located in town.

From Market Village to the above location only 10 baht.
