New Year resolutions

Post by richard »

So come on guys and gals what are you planning to do or give up?

I make them every year and fail within a week :banghead:

Mine this year are:

1) give up smoking
2) go home to see my daughters
3) wear blinkers in Binta and become a cheap charlie

I know I'll probably fail on two   don't know how to wear blinkers for a start :banghead:

On a serious note maybe HHAD should extend an invitation to those who have been banned to come back/all is forgiven on the understanding that their postings are within the T/Cs

Am I living in dream land??? No. I love harmony

I'll second that one - a fresh start - might liven things up again as well!

As for resolutions - I'm going to start complaining more about things that don't do what they say on the label - about silly 'jobs worth' rules - shoddy work and bad manners - too much packaging - too much mayonnaise - and child proof lids on jars of over 50s vitamins :banghead:

Although your thought is a noble one richard we really do not want those that hate HHAD, those that are operating rival businesses, and those that have made threats towards us back here - they have outstayed their welcome and will only cause us more headaches if allowed to return - it is in their nature and we do not want or need the extra hassle.

There has been a pleasant atmosphere on the boards over the last couple of months and we would like that to continue - the moderators have very little to do now, which is how it should be!

Richard, I've already given up nearly everything that was fun. I quit smoking 25 years ago, stopped using (illegal) drugs 20 years ago, gave up women (other than my wife) 15 years ago, gave up gambling after the last debacle in Vegas about 10 years ago, gave up fatty foods (for the most part) last year and lost 30 pounds in six months, so the only thing I have left is drinking and I will not give that up until it kills me. You have to have at least one vice or life is no fun!

My only resolution is to get back to exercising regularly which I was doing but have become a little lax about lately.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Scientists have decided that we don`t get hangovers, we suffer from "social jet lag".

I only have one New Years resolution.

I'm giving up trying to convince my wife I'm right on any issue we discuss. To date I have never managed it, so giving up trying will be a doddle.

I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.
