Non Immigrant O Extension - Friends and Family Type

Now I've been wondering...

Has anyone here, on a Non Immigrant 'O' Visa that is NOT retirement or marriage types extended it while inside Thailand / Hua Hin?
Currently I've been doing border runs in previous times but if there's a way to avoid this it means my plans can be adjusted accordingly...

I've got the friends and family Non I 'O' type and was wondering if the visa laws allowed it to be extended from an immigration office in Hua Hin etc?

Certainly you can extend in Thailand for a year. However, I'm afraid, Imm are going to ask you how you qualify.
That's then back to retirement and marriage - there are some others, like taking care of your kids, but the first two are the main ones.
Imm might give a week or so extension with proof of a flight out of the country, but that's all you'll get.

Working/employment with a WP is another, ie: can be on an 'O' as well as an 'A' (I've always though you had to switch to an 'A'). I don't think that's your situation though, but thought I'd mention it for any others.

Thanks guys It's not going to rock my core if they say nay.
I'll pop in and have a chat to see what's what.
If they say no it'll give me an excuse for a border blaze in the storm child anyway.
