If these stories are true, it just reinforces the madness of the decision.

I can actually foresee a break up, with europe, S. America and other interested countries doing their own thing.

It looks like England won't be playing in Bangkok as planned in June now, Thailand had promised to back us but didn't.

My point exactly. Thailand enjoy watching football ....... on the box. What the hell do they know about organising a live football tournament? Yet we let people like this decide the future of World football :?

It's not their fault, it's the PC brigade trying to keep everybody happy.

Good for Boris. Boris Johnson, Mayor of London has rescinded the invitation for FIFA delegates, and I presume wives, to stay at the Dorchester for the duration of the 2012 Olympics, at a reported cost of £1000 a night. Any other suggestions how England could retaliate against this disgraceful bunch of freeloading, lying, corrupt "officials".

If I accepted something like that in my job, the press would call it bribery. :?

This is the type of back handed stuff that makes me sick. I don't see how these guys get away with it.

Just seen Sett Blatter on TV advocating that the Qatar world cup should be held in the winter so as not to endanger the players health. Oh why didn`t we think of that before doh! The European countries will be thrilled to have their domestic leagues disrupted. Maybe it`s time to organize an alternative elite world competition. Still wouldn`t guarantee England a place though!

I think Blatters words "I'll take care of it personally,to ensure that there is no corruption in FIFA" just about sums it up ! :guns:

Asia`s FIFA man, Mohammed Bin Hammam, a Qatari, has said thet the world cup WILL be held in the summer, and will not be spread around the gulf states. Irrespective of whether or not Qatar is the best place for the tournament this isolates Blatter and Platini. Blatter is well past his sell-by date and should leave now. Of course he still has to oversee the corruption allegations.
