What to expect in June for weather?

Post by matthew80 »

Hi All! Will be coming to Hua Hin sometime in June. I would appreciate a rundown on what I might expect concerning the weather. Will I be in the midst of the full-on rainy season? Will it be a constant deluge or will it rain hard for a bit, and then be sunny again? Thanks! Matt

My experience is that although you will invariably have the odd really rotten day (weather wise), most days the rain will only be 2 to 3 hours - usually between 3 and 6 in the afternoon.

However, I will leave it to some of our more experienced contributors who have been living in HH for many years to correct me.

Well I was there last year in June (coming again this June :thumb: ) and it rained every day for about an hour or two starting at 2 in the afternoon and then cleared so was no problem. The previous year was there for three weeks in June/July and only had one day of rain. It will be lovely there no matter what the weather is like. Am counting the days to when I am back!

The weather to expect in Hua Hin in June is: Sunshine, Blue skies, overcast skies, rain, high winds, in fact just about everything except snow and ice. It is generally a bit warmer and humid than the annual average but stiil can get cool at night.

Thanks all, for the timely information concerning the weather! greatly appreciated! i will be coming from Yukon territory, Canada, where there is indeed ample amounts of snow and ice, so as long as i don't have to bring skiis or snowshoes I'm a happy camper! Singa beers for everyone! Matt

Hello everybody - I am new to the forum and decided that I would sign up and start sharing in dicussions.

I hope to be visiting HH in late June too, so long as things work out back here in England.

The weather in June was something that has worried me - but after comparing average percipition levels for Bangkok and then HH, it would seem HH gets ALOT less rain in June.

A few hours in the afternoon I can live with - hopefully it's not going to rain fully for the 14 days I visit for!

Hope to see you all around soon!

I can say for sure it does rain in bars and restaurants,

I still remember my girls face as the small crack above my head turned into a shower

as i was having my breakfast in a very nice place.

she even took a photo with her phone

so check the roof, for cracks and not sit under one

So, to everyone living at HH;

"Is the weather nice in June? Nice enough to come for a holiday for 2 weeks? My girlfriend will be pretty upset if it rains constantly! When it does rain - is it just for a few hours or can it be for days and days?"

Thanks for the info!

Don’t worry about the rain, its warm. When a deluge starts you just stop the trusty Honda at a food stall, scrounge a plastic bag for your wallet and mobile phone and carry on to your destination. You will have dried out by the second beer.
