Speaking from a purely non footballing perspective i'm glad someone other than one of the top few money enriched teams won something.

It shows that money isn't everything and that a base desire to win will prove fruitfull.

Well done Birmingham...

i know what you're saying RC but we're hardly a money enriched team :| we actual earn our money!

a slightly disjointed performance from us overall but second half we had enough chances to win it.
foster had a blinder in goal for them.
with 1/2 hour to go i was thinking the only way we could possibly lose was by making a mistake . . . . & we clownishly obliged  :D

hey ho, life goes on :?
still all to play for on 3 fronts . . . .fair shout to brum, never gave up & hung in there when a lot of teams would have buckled

It was actually quite an entertaining match.
Arsenal will claim they were unlucky as they played some lovely football at times, hit the woodwork and forced the Birmingham keeper,Foster, into making some fine saves.
However dont forget in the first few minutes Bowyer was brought down in the area by the Arsenal keeper,Szecnesy, but was wrongly given offside beforehand.
If the correct decision would have been made it would have been a penalty for Birmingham and, quite possibly,Szecnesy could have received a red card....Fahey also hit the woodwork for Birmingham as well.
Amazing cameo performance by Martins.....loved it when he outstripped the Arsenal defence, rounded the keeper only to be denied by a last ditch tackle.......he has a fantastic turn of pace but never seems able to fulfil his potential.
Maybe Arsenals best chance of a trophy gone.....with that defence you have got to favour Barcelona to give them a trouncing in the Champions League and what if they play United in the 6th round of the FA Cup at Old Trafford with Howard Webb as referee !! 8)

very entertaining, especially for the neutrals & brum fans :cuss:

i think we choked a bit (again!) on the big occasion but don't think we deserved to lose.
a draw would have been a fair result.

we have to get past orient first before we worry about refs at OT

no doubt we'll be massive underdogs at the camp nou (a bit like brum yesterday  ) & have nothing to lose.

getting back to refs, i wonder what the outcome will be in the rooney case.
had battenberg seen the offence from a different angle, would it have been a red? & will the FA act on it?
that boy has definately got a screw loose & most manure fans i know actually agree he should be banned, unlike fergie who thinks it was nothing
almost as bad as a wenger 'i didn't see it' :D

Rooney....once again behaved like an absolute idiot.....I reckon the FA will give him a one match ban.....would be more if McCarthy would have gone down poleaxed but I think he was shocked more than anything else !
