1) My two boys being born here as Thai, have not had the oportunity to be inducted to the joys of being 'proper' football fans.

It stopped you going over the edge. You were close to administration, give or take. The interest payments on Bates' Eurobond to buy the ground weren't sustainable, the problem was the banked on income from the Village (idiots) never materialised. The next step would have been to off-load players/wages. I remember having this debate with Chelsea mates... and rubbing my hands looking forward to the day... alas it never came Bates nearly ruined the club but got lucky, Chelsea fans in the main will only love him though. Fair enough in the end I guess, the way it worked out.

Roman's first 150m was to pay off debts or something, wasn't it. And he's still 'loaning' the club every year now, because obviously they can't support the wages & transfer bills from club earnings. The hospitality suites at SB are, or used to be, a bit limited in relation to others, and the prices were a lot lower which I never understood. Spurs, despite how cack average we were, used to turn-over more in hospitality.
