i was gonna mention that . . . . . . then i thought of trott, pietersen, morgan, prior etc etc  . . . . .

amazing performance by the irish (ish  ) though, especially when you consider that at one stage they were 111-5

They're listing it now. 0.53% picked Ireland, 172 out of about 32,366.

A different update, apparently the Banglas are bad losers they attacked the West Indies bus after the match. Haven't read yet if any controversy on the pitch. Seems a strange score to me 58-10, 59-1. Pete

'A senior police official told the BBC: "The fans thought that the bus was carrying the Bangladeshi cricket team.'

Woeful score. Watch for the team wearing Burkhas to the next match.

Great finish in the England/South Africa match. Strauss and his bowlers kept their nerve to win in a very low scoring game.

Just found it on the BBC sports site. Abandoned because of rain, no result. Seems they both got 1 point so I guess no replay in the offing. Pete

This was to be the match of the round but I guess both sides at the moment would be content with a draw. Sri Lanka has been using Aussie coaches for some time and this has lifted their game to make them a real force.

Pete, is this you?
as seen elsewhere

I run a small cricket league in the Rayong area. If anyone is keen on a game please get in touch as we have some games coming up. All abilities accepted- it doesn't matter if you are a budding Ricky Ponting or a Sunday afternoon social player. It's all about making friends and having fun.

Englands bowlers, especially Anderson should be embarrassed by that defeat by Bangladesh.
21 wides and another 12-16 runs came off them aswell :tsk:

Well, I'm a goner. Shot well in the foot. Picked the thing they call 'super over' but forgot to pick scores therefore I get 0 for all the quarter final matches.  Pete

Thought you'd dropped the proverbial b*ll*ck there Pete, but looking at the results you're certainly picking up points for the QF's. You took 1.5 on the Pakistan vs West Indies match for the winning team - but no Margin or bonus points. Maybe that's where you are going to lose out.
