For me that's easy. Painting, decorating and odd jobs. Occassionally, I'm allowed to drive the vacuum cleaner. Anything else, I'm given a good telling off.

Thought it was against the law in Thailand unless you have a work permit

Yes and the Foreign Business Act wont allow a work permit for these type of service industries as it denies jobs to Thais.

That's what I tell the missus any time she asks me to do any work around the house. I'm trying to convince her that even rolling the trash can out to the curb could get my retirement visa taken away and get me blacklisted!
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

That wouldn't actually surprise me if it really occurred in this town - stranger things have happened!

This thread has been very entertaining as I sit here in cold dreary Korea. I selected "Cook myself and Enjoy it". Actually I have found all my Thai friends really enjoy the meals I produce. What I enjoy as much as the meal or preparation is the shopping process. I usually use the same vendors in the market to purchase my Fruits, veggies and mess of shrimp. It's wonderful being a regular customer, though I am away for months at a time when I return to HH they remember me immediately. However I do enjoy Thai food and have a couple of real authentic restaurants I like to visit. I eat probably 90% at home while in Thailand with the occasional Thai meal out. I never eat Western food out; went to an Italian place by the Hilton and their Carbonera was just horrible. Do you all realize how easy this dish is to prepare?
