Odd that. I know what you are saying is correct, but I would have expected that to be a tourist sentiment. Part of my reason for moving to a place (for eg Hua Hin) for longer than that suggested by the length of a holiday is simply because I want to see it warts and all - to be around long enough not to see it as a tourist, and not be seen as a tourist and to get out from under the 'brochure' perspective.we, as expats,...- want to see and experience a country in a picture book mode

My experience in living in the wilds of Isaan, and this may be substantiated by those that either live or visit there is they do not consider this (HH) is part of Thailand.
It's a Farang holiday joint and the Thais here are here to milk farangs. It's also an overspill of rich Bangkokians which they loath
OK a peasant view, but a very, very high % of Thai's are rural peasants

If I were to use the ignore button, I'd need to know that I'd never be aware of the person posting - if I knew there was a new post, but not what was in it, I think I'd have to peek...

Remember, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.

I find using the 'Ignore' feature a little childish on this occasion
Rider had a pop at me and called me a dick, so I naturally had a pop back at him. He jumped ship and 'Ignore'd' me.
It's a bit like a a kid starting a fight in the playground, getting bonked on the nose by the kid he picked a fight with and running back to mummy crying about this big bad bully. Mummy would then tell little 'Rider' to stay away from that nasty boy and not to talk to him again.
Hey, If someone 'Quotes' this post Rider could still read it... Oh the horror!

If it's within arms reach, there's nothing to worry about!!
