Thanks mate, but a bit confused, as it seems no Anzac day stuff coming up.

Are there not enough Aussies and Kiwis here, or no one got motivated to arrange something ?... Says a Vet. not backward in coming forward, nor lacking initiative....grin.

As far as I know not in Hua Hin. There is always a day on at the River Kwai / Kanchanaburi Memorial. Pattaya has the following group and I know Bert would be only to happy to advise you if you contact him.

There's more on the British Legion here: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=16476

Perhaps stop in and meet JD at Hua Hin Ham & Bacon. He may like some assistance with his plans to establish a chapter in Hua Hin. Welcome to the forum. Pete

Dear Aussie newbie---You are not alone but be not afraid. Just muscle between the Brits and Seps on this friendly forum. I suggest sometime you eat at Terrace 90. The American owner is partial to Aussies especially ex military.

Gee, it must be good to moving to LOS at a time of the high Aussie dollar. The electric assist mountain bike sounds good for riding westwards!

Thanks all for the welcome, and advice.
Rest assured I am here to stay, well at least for 2 years until the lease runs out.....grin.
At only 53, and healthy as an Ox; I can be fun, but also like a wise lady once said "I do not suffer fools gladly".
So may not get on with a few.
But that is life, and generally i prefer to find amuzment in others attitudes, rather than anger.
As i find it a healthier way to stay happy.

Cheers All and sure I will catch ya all around in time.

Cool guys, done the hell Fire Pass thing a couple of years ago, which was great.

But this year with move from Australia, move from Phuket north to Hua Hin, new wife, renting/deposit etc. finances not as i'd like in the short term.

So was seeking something closer to new home for Anzac; but not the end of the world, as always next year.

Given I do not plan droping off the planet for at least a few more decades......grin.

Hi JW,

Golfer...yea ...putt putt only....

Can see the skill, but chasing a little ball around a padock never been my thing....sorry.

More into tennis, table tennis, pool, scuba diving, photography, bow hunting, boxing, karate, and jumping out of perfectly good airplanes type stuff.

But want to do hang gliding, kite surfing, ultra light fly, and swim with whales before I die; so a short bucket list, as done the rest mostly.

Will try to get to the bar you mentioned some time soon.
Hopefully to see the Saints kick arse, and not have their arse kicked.

Having a Branlow winning uncle sort of means AFL in my blood....grin
Peter Box, 1956 I think (before me born), for Footsgrey before the name change to Western Bulldogs.

Cheers Allan

Ahhhh grin....think the Dockers could maybe enlist some Quakers from Rotnest to help them.

Uncle may of played for Footsgrey.
But me early high school Moorabin.

So either follow the Saints, or die; which like at 13/14 was so not ready to die.
