Hey need some help rather urgently.
I am self represented prosecutng a very big matter in the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia; and need to by email file an application, and supporting affidavits.
The bloody Australian embassy say can only be done there, for 600 THB a document, or maybe every page knowing those greedy bastards; and waste a day in Bkk for like 15 secs. of work.
So does anyone know under Thai law, can anyone else, like a priest/police/military officer etc. swear, or witness swearing of an affidavit; then sign an stamp every page ?.....
Many Thanks In Advance.....Allan
Need Help... Who In Thai Can Swear Affidavits ?....
Re: Need Help... Who In Thai Can Swear Affidavits ?....
It depends on what the court in Australia will accept. Most things I've done for legal purposes in the U.S. will only accept a sworn affidavit notarized by the U.S. Embassy notary. There are Thai notaries but you should check to see if that will be accepted in the Aussie courts before wasting your time.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Cool and thanks, under Aussie law, as long as in the foriegn country someone is authorised, it is cool with Aussie Courts

First suggest you read this...
http://www.thailawonline.com/en/others/ ... iland.html
There are a number of people around town who claim to be a Notaries but in fact they are not qualified (including in our building)
There is a lawyer at Pranburi Law Office... about 1 km on left when over the flyover going to Pranburi. Name Prasit 081 304 6162. Speaks English. Basic charge is Baht 2,000.
If you go there, give a report on service/fee.
