Cat Stevens, from his Teaser and the Firecat album.

Dusty Springfield, she gave a bunch of flowers to my mum once. A fantastic voice but blind as a bat, hence the dark eye makeup.

Well, I am an old fart but I like their songs :duck:
I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

The late, great Rory Gallagher, just watched a live concert on Sky Arts, boy, could he play guitar!

I often use this thread to find new music and listen to new bands, three albums recommended here deserve another mention as they are all outstanding:

The Temper Trap - Conditions
One of the best albums I've listened to in years, a rare gem where all of the tracks are good.

Kings Of Leon - Come Around Sundown
Wasn't too keen on their first two albums but this one rocks so I'll revisit some of their earlier ones.

Slash featuring various artists
A great all round rock album, anyone that was into G n' R, Sabbath, Skid Row, Metallica ... et al.
Recommended here.

Keep em coming.

as with everything in life I like to inject a little piratical spirit for the less law abiding amongst us

my current favorite music download site is http://www.maxalbums.com/

Im particularly impressed by the fact they have links to proper obscure stuff like Stump, Tackhead and Here & Now Band.

Worth a solid bookmark any day in Capn Sandmans book! Surely must be a bar owners favorite.

Billy boy and I are both huge admirers of this guy (based on the Joe Hill tune and not the one by Phil Ochs based on Tom Joad by Woody Guthrie :? ):
