Hua Hin condo block using asbestos

Post by nev504 »

Just a word of caution to all you would be property purchasers.
I was interested a while ago in buying a condo under development in Hua Hin.
I visited the job site and looked around inside the half completed condo block and saw that the contractors / builders were using 8 x 4 ft asbestos sheets for the ceilings in every unit.
The condo in question is on soi 102 and is called swiss orchid or swiss place.
Watch out everyone and make sure you take a keen interest in all materials going into your HH property.

Seems the cement fibre boars that are commonly used ARE asbestos.

Thailand is in the top 7 worldwide users of asbestos

Asbestos in the abstract is not a problem. Asbestos in the air is the problem. There are fireproof roofing materials currently for sale in the US (the land of too many lawyers per square inch) which contain asbestos.
