The book that saved my life

Post by richard »

My daughter sent me a book for my Birthday entitled 'The Rules of Life' by Richard Templer

The book saved my life literally. I picked it up on the way out of the condo to brunch

Motorbike taxi had a prang and I fell clutching the parcel to my head. I hit a curb with my head but the parcel came between my head and the curb. Both book and I survived. Shaken but not stirred

Good omen methinks    I keep being told by Thai friends that Bhudda doesn't want me yet

Who needs a crash helmet when you carry a bubble packed parcel on your head?
RICHARD OF LOXLEY

It’s none of my business what people say and think of me. I am what I am and do what I do. I expect nothing and accept everything. It makes life so much easier.

Wow divine intervention?

If you believe in that sort of thing... 8)

If it had been the Thai book of logic you wouldn't have stood a chance... :lach:

Either way happy birthday and may your God go with you... :sun:

Yes, well done Richard!
What does 'The Rules of Life' by Richard Templer say about Thai motorbike taxis? I think normally that they're alright without a helmet as long as you have enough passengers on them to keep the speed down. (Or carry a book on your head!)
