Well another draw. We seem to like draws at the moment. Let's hope we can lift our game against Man City & Liverpool. Think 4th spot has gone with today's result unless Man City Implode!

With away games at Liverpool, Man C & Chelski  , i'd be worried about holding onto 5th place :lach:

If Liverpool finish above Tottenham I'll be devastated and if the dreaded does happen I have decided after nearly 50 years of supporting spurs enough is enough and I'm gonna support the pool. I will change my login name and picture to Ken De Mange. Please Please Please Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Edit:

Sorry error, if the pool finish fourth I meant :D

Assuming you're right Pete, it would give your prediction more emphasis if you also predicted the 2 games in hand MC have, and the 1 game in hand TOT have. That would show how you see the final table.
Championship Plymouth Argyle 1 - 2 Leeds Utd

Points 46; Position 23 RELEGATED

We certainly did :D
To most gooners it wasn't that unexpected to be honest :|

After reading the blogs/papers this morning, it seems Wenger is finally realising what was pretty obvious to the fans
Accepting that he is at fault is a start i suppose, instead of blaming everyone & everything else :D

We don't need to bring in that many players, 3 or 4, but we do need to get rid of a lot of deadwood players.
The summer transfer mill should be interesting :|

As for this season's end, be nice to turn over the manure next weekend & set the chelsk up for a OT title showdown  , the chelsk then to win & get the title on goal difference

I really don't know where to start with Arsenal!

Its actually frustrating for the rest of us as well as gooners, but some truths have been said this week. What Fabregas said was patently true. Merson criticised Wengers defensive record and surely that's where Arsenal fall down time and again, with another 2 goals conceded from set pieces yesterday!

Lawreson was funny on the beeb when he said that even his mum was asking why Arsenal don't get a decent keeper and centre half! Its that obvious. The defence Wenger inherited was top notch, with any combination from Bould, Adams, Keown, Winterburn and Dixon, with Campbell added later as his only really good defensive buy. What's Pat Rice's role at the club? He was a decent enough defender, doesn't he have an input?

As a manager, Wenger has continually failed in respect of the defence and if the defence is second rate, it doesn't matter how good the rest of the team are as we all see time and again.

Merson even suggested (in a Times article) that Wenger should just go and but a couple of decent English centre-backs who know their way around the premiership and I think he's probably right.

As for next season, that 3/4 needed might have to include replacements for Fabregas and Nasri. The Times reported yesterday that Nasri is stalling on extending his contract making next year his last and Chelsea, Manure and one of the Milan clubs have all been alerted. I'd love to see him at Chelsea.

There's not a lot wrong with young chesney, he's gonna be a top class keeper.
Maybe thrown in at the deep end a bit, but he certainly doesn't lack confidence.

Fabianski would suffice as a back up keeper imo :|

I think he just nods or shakes his head in agreement when Wenger speaks, that's about as much input as he gets

No doubt the fab rumours will once again be circulating (a la barca) & i think this is the first time most gooners won't be that concerned.
If he really wants to go to barca & they cough up the £50 million, they can have him :|

As for Nasri, he has a verbal agreement with Wenger that the contract situation will be thrashed out at the end of the season, if he doesn't sign a new deal he will be sold, but i don't think he'll be going to an English club, his destination will either be Italy or Spain, IF he goes.

Wenger will no doubt know the score on those matters & the new signings he has to make will have to be top quality players.
I think if he had brought in a couple of players in January, things may have been different.
He is a stubborn git!!! :?

Money was & is no object, there is already £40 million in the transfer kitty & there will be a possible £30/50 from the deadwood fire sale in the summer (Arshavin, Denilson, Eboue, Bendtner, Rosicky, Diaby, Chamakh, Squillaci)

Our new part owner is keen to pitch in a large sum if required too  :D

Bring back the George Graham philosophy, stop the other buggers scoring. There is enough attacking flare to take care of goals for.

I'd try for cash plus Mascherano, he'd add some much needed steel.

I think that could be a realistic option :thumb:

There really isn't a major overhaul required though.
Just ditch the deadwood & bring in 3/4 quality players & i'm convinced will be serious challengers again, not just hopeful ones :?

Players on my wish list would be any from;
Parker, Cahill, Young, Cavani, Subotic, Melo, Benzema & Defoe ( ).

If Fab & Nasri go, replace with Schweinsteiger & Hazard, sorted :D

With Ramsay & Vermaelen back fit & a few of the young loanees returning, we will be ready to rumble again :D
