Spurs fans ever optimistic. I think the difference between Arsenal and Spurs fans in the CL was we Arsenal fans were resigned to our fate, but Spurs fans really thought they had a chance of winning. What chances for Champions League next season for TH? Be realistic now.

Staggeringly dominant performance by the Mancs tonght, an absolute breeze, could have been 10+ to nil. Were they really that good, or Schalke so bad - remember they knocked out the champions in the last round?

Whatever, all credit to Manure for a job very well done - they won't even be out of breath for the weekend - which is a pity!

I bet all you guys watching back in Blighty enjoyed the game last night !!
Even the most biased anti-United fans amongst you would have to admit that the scoreline flattered Schalke.....before Giggs scored it should have been at least 4-0 to United but for some great goalkeeping and wayward finishing.
Schalke were absolutely abysmal.....I couldnt believe they were so poor.....but they did beat Inter 5-2 in Milan so United still have to be a bit wary.
But for you guys wanting tickets to the Final......I hear that they are selling like hot cakes so youd better be quick to reserve your seats with the Spanish fans !! 8)

That's a bit presumptious Zid
Didn't watch the game, was watching slug racing on one of the cable channels, so i'll take your word for it

Mid table in the Bundesliga suggests they are pretty average (this season).
Maybe their win over Inter was their 'final'.

As for the final, you got to be rooting for Real tonight??
Think you'll have a chance against them, if it's Barca . . . . think it will get Messi
Unless you have him kidnapped

Bit of a dire match last night.Plenty of niggly fouls, bad temper and histrionics and little football.....but a moment of absolute class from Messi for Barcelona's second......a goal up there with the best !
Pepe, maybe a little unlucky to be sent off but one player who was lucky to stay on the pitch was Adebayor.
He was rightly booked for shoving his arm in a Barca players face whilst making no attempt to get the ball but a few minutes earlier he did exactly the same to Puyol and received no punishment.....Man City are well rid of him.
So it looks odds on a United v Barca final again......but how to stop Messi ??.....at least we will be spared Gary Neville being asked to do a man for man marking job on him !! 8)
As a United fan, obviously I would prefer Real in the final but Barcelona are a cut above them and fully deserve their place at Wembley.

Before the four Galacticos matches Mourinho said they had practised playing with 10 players as against Farcelona in any given match one player is most likely to be shown a red card. Can't say he was wrong.

Unbelievable player, great assist off Busquets too.

At least Barca will wipe the floor with yernited in the final, again.

Mourinho needs to stop bleating as he is reaping what he has sown - his side had four yellow cards going into the game last night - nothing to do with Barca but entirely to do with the way he sends his teams out to 'play' against all opposition. Then there is the little matter of the cynical second yellow cards for Alonso and Ramos scandal against Ajax in the group stages so their suspensions would be brought forward to avoid the knock out stages.

Poor, poor Traductor - he has been found out and doesn't know what to do, so he plays the victim. You gotta laugh (at him)!

:agree:

It's always all about Mourinho.

Disgraceful how he belittled Pep Guardiola's achievements to.

Yeah - but I expected nothing else of Mourinho. He has to keep himself in the news - it's what he does.

When asked what he thought of El Traductor's comments, Guardiola simply replied "Nothing." A better man both on and off the pitch.

I've never liked Mourinho but I think he does have a point against other teams getting red cards against Barcelona.

Ha ha - Yeah - the controversial instances he cited were all against teams managed by Mourinho!

There is definitely a common thread there but not the one El Traductor wants the World to believe!

This is the length that Real Madrid went to to show that Barca get favourable decisions.

To show that Dani Alves was offside in a match against Athletic Bilbao, Spanish newspaper AS (A pro Real paper) Photoshopped out an Athletic Bilbao defender, they were forced to apoligise.

Top image is AS Photoshop.

The Footage.
