All in all a pretty poor representation of La Liga :(
They should rename El Classico as El Farcico

No matter how intense the rivalry, there is no excuse for blatant cheating & both teams were guilty :| :tsk:

Maybe UEFA should sit them all down together & watch the game again, taking particular interest in the actions of Messi.
Not just how he graced us with 2 goals of sublime quality, but how after being shoved, hacked, bashed & assaulted for most of the game, he gets up (if he goes down), pulls his socks up & just gets on with it

Mourinho is just making a complete ass of himself.
He has a squad full of top talent & decides to set up with no recognised forward & a midfield full of cloggers in the home leg
Higuain, Kaka & Benzema unused on the bench?

I honestly think Barca drag themselves to his level to play himself at his own game, Barca aren't a dirty side.

Best coach in the world aint he? As much as I hate Manchester United, at least they'll play an attacking first 11 and have a pair of balls.

Ronaldo, Di Maria, Kaka, Benzema, Ozil, Alonso, Higuain and you play like Stoke.

Player for player they've probably got the best squad in world football, Barca have undoubtedly got the best first 12-13 though.

I was referring more to the play acting rather than aggression.
Both sides were guilty of that, . . . . . embarrassing

Unfortunately, i don't think they'll see or have much of the most important ball

BUT, . . . I think if the manure score first, they'll win it :(

I wouldn't say Barca have the best 12/13, just the best team ethic

Who has then?

They've almost got the Spain team plus Messi and Alves, I think 5 or more of that side would make a World 11.

I agree on the team ethic, as good as they are they also work their asses off, pressing all over the pitch.

Question is, how well would that world 11 team function??

Xavi is a great player but it is noticable how less effective he is without Iniesta alongside him :|
It would also be interesting to see how Barca would cope if Messi got a long term injury ??

They work so hard as a team unit it makes those individuals shine.
Except Messi that is, he is just the exception to the rule :D

I'm still hoping that Messi gets sent off for a two footed lunge on Ronaldo in the second leg and misses the final ! 8)
But little chance of that I think. He just seems to accept all that is dished out to him without a fuss and is a credit to the game.
But lets hope he loses it just one time on Tuesday night........

Nah, let's hope the final includes all the best players from both sides and we see a classic game of football. If your sides the best in Europe which is what the competion is all about, we should be entitled to see the best players from both sides on the pitch, unfortunately referees play a big part in ruining games!

I don`t like Mourinho at all, but he has a point when it comes to the favouring of Barca by referees. Ronaldo was advancing towards goal, he is fouled and in the act of falling over he accidentally catches the leg of a Barca defender, play moves on and RM score. The referee disallows it on the grounds of Ronaldo fouling the Barca player. Unbelievable. If Man U get to the final the referee will have a hard time deciding which team to favour!

This is, of course, a classic example of the referree playing the disadvantage rule, which can only be applied against the team you happen to be supporting.
This is the way

Hope all you neutrals enjoyed Manchester Uniteds reserves demolishing a woeful Schalke last night.
United and Coronation Street on the same night.....can things get any better for you guys in the UK ?
Fair to say Wigan Athletic would have given United a sterner test over two legs.....how on earth did that shower beat Inter 5-2 in the San Siro ?

Thats one expensive reserve side

I did watch it up until 3-1, & yes how they managed to get this far is astounding.
They looked like an average championship side at best :|

I doubt you'll be getting such an easy game in the final though
