In response to the perils of buying a house in HH - I did it on impulse, found a Brit estate agent, who showed me houses built by Brits, introduced me to a Brit lawyer in a Thai company, and furniture plan by a brit running a shop. None of that was intentional, just the way it panned out. Really glad i did, I love the town. Will keep watching for the golf game. Cheers.

The funny thing about that is that most of the dodgy, lawyers, estate agents, and builders here that I have had experience with have been Brits. Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of British friends so I'm definitely not painting with a wide brush; but it just seems like this is one of the favorite hiding places of the con men from that country.
