Questions to the authorities

Post by Farang »

,
In this theread, please post your questions. I will then summarize them and see to it that
they be delivered to the authorities. Please, rather "how" questions than "why" questions.

To ask, or not to ask. That is the question.

Well sort of, except that I think I know what the regulations are, and there is nothing anyone in Thailand can do for me as i have to apply for any new visa outside the country - I did think about posting it on this thread but really thought a separate one was better.

So no questions? Nice to know these matters are well in hand.

Farrang
I take it you mean questions to put forward at the up comming meeting with local goverment regarding property visa's and so on ,your initial post on this thread isnt very clear on the matter

I am sure there are many questions by many people wished to be asked and as you stated in another post the questions should be of a how nature not why, as the people being asked the questions do not make the laws here just enforce them

Farrang is obviously attending this meeting and is offering a helping hand to put forward any relevent questions by any HHAD readers

In fact I am unable to attend and therefore I've been anxious about this matter. I am not in
divinely scrumptious HH at the moment. I was just anxious there would be none of us in attendance.
That would be a total loss of face on the part of authorities and and spitting in their face just
when they extended us a helping hand.

Glad to see there are widely respected gentlemen with proven ability to report back on the matter attending.

I've been down to imm this afternoon. As Farang says, they're really helpful and do want us all there.
OK, there's a registration form at the back that asks for your business details. They didn't ask for mine - I don't have one. I'm a tourist. I asked whether everyone had to register by today. He said, no just do it on the 31st in the morning at the imm centre. When pointed out that it might be difficult to organise the tidal flow of people on the 31st and cater for them, he suggested by the 29th.
There must be a whole lot of people out there who can learn from this situation, myself included.
As Farang has said, it could lead to big loss of face for the organisers. If we expect any help or guidance from these people, we should at least show willing to attend and listen.
I'm sure we'll all get our chance to network during the "refreshment break".
Just my opinion. I'll there.

Would it be possible for one of you that attended the meeting post a report/minutes sort of thing so those of us who cannot be there can find out what went on. I will only be arriving in Hua Hin on 18th June so cannot attend.
Thanking you in advance. :thumb:
