Visa 90 day report

Re: Visa 90 day report
Just to be painfully clear here: you must get the re-entry permit before leaving Thailand.lomuamart wrote: PS: if you leave Thailand, even for a moment, on your OA visa or an annual extension, you need a re-entry permit from Imm (cost 1,000 for single or 3,800 for multiple) or you'll lose your permitted to stay stamp, re-enter only getting 15 or 30 days and have to start at square one again.
Re: Visa 90 day report
If it is a Multi entry Non Immigrant O visa, like me, you have to leave the kingdom every 90 days and 24 hour reporting on return.Siani wrote:I have a multi entry O visa. It still has 9 months left. Remember you can re-enter the country just before the visa expires and obtain a further 90 days!
Edit:Clarification
Re: Visa 90 day report
The OA visa mentioned before is different to an O. The former gives a year's permitted to stay stamp on entry and 90 day reporting is all that's necessary with the single entry variety.
As TimandT has said, you need to do a border run every 90 days with the multi-entry Non O. The date by which you need to exit Thailand will be shown on your permitted to stay stamp that Imm gave you on your first entry.
The 24 hour reporting is a moot point. Maybe go along to Imm the day after you get back, sianni, and let us know if Imm were interested in your visit?

Re: Visa 90 day report
If you are over 50 and have 800 000 Baht in a Thai bank account (or a proof of more than 65 000 Baht/month income) then immigration can extend your O-visa to 1 vear and you have to do no border runs.Siani wrote: So with an ordinary O visa I will have to do a border run?
Re: Visa 90 day report
Thanks for the info ...so if I just take my bank statement to the immigration, they will take it on face value? I have a Thai account.pitsch wrote:If you are over 50 and have 800 000 Baht in a Thai bank account (or a proof of more than 65 000 Baht/month income) then immigration can extend your O-visa to 1 vear and you have to do no border runs.Siani wrote: So with an ordinary O visa I will have to do a border run?
Re: Visa 90 day report
I would suggest that you visit Immigration and pick up the application forms to see what is required - Letter from bank stating that funds have been deposited for two months - Copy of Passport - Photos - etc etc.

Re: Visa 90 day report
Siani,
If you want to extend your multi-entry non O visa for a year, you can do so as has been said. Imm normally like you to apply within the last 30 days of any 90 day entry.
If, financially, you are going to rely on savings in a Thai bank account, those savings must not have fallen below 800K in the three months prior to application. (In fact it really should be only 2 months for the first application and 3 for subsequent ones, but I wouldn't chance that with HH Imm).
You'll need a letter from your bank confirming your savings and that must tally with the amount showing in your passbook. Don't withdraw any money after getting the letter until your extension is granted.
I do my extension by income so I'm not sure how recent Imm like the bank letter to be. I'm sure they'll want it as close to the application date as possible but the same day may not be necessary.
Perhaps someone else can advise?
Other requirements as per the Imm leaflet above.

Re: Visa 90 day report
I had to go away for more paperwork for my extension a few months ago, and Madam that loves Farangs told me 7 days. And like you have said, Lomu, do NOT draw on the account in the interim.lomuamart wrote:Siani,

Re: Visa 90 day report
Got this from another forum so cannot verify:
90 Day Address Reporting: NEW REQUIREMENTS - Immigration Headquarters has instructed their Offices to require additional documentation to be submitted with the TM 47 - 90 day address report:
· Copy of passport Face Page
· Copy of latest Immigration Permission to Stay Stamp
· Copy of TM Departure Card (this is the white card that should be stapled in your passport)
· Copy of a document verifying your address (lease, utility bill, telephone bill, cable bill, etc.)
Does this mean more photocopies

Re: Visa 90 day report
Individual offices plough their own furrow so what's good for one won't be for another.
Just take the docs along and only present the competed form. If they ask for anything else you're prepared but I'd always suggest not offering paperwork unless asked for.
There's the photocopy office on your right as you walk into the main office but preparation is always the key with officialdom anywhere.

Re: Visa 90 day report
Hi All
I have to do my 90 day repoert in khon kaen by the 29th August which is fair enough, however,I move to HH on the 4th Sept,so does that mean that as I no longer live at the address stated on 29th Aug do I have to re report at the HH Imm Office showing my new address??

Re: Visa 90 day report
sateeb,
I'm not 100% sure but if I were you I'd go to HH Imm asap after your move here and explain the situation to them.
I'd reckon that your 90 day report done in KK will be fine but HH will want to know that you're here permanently. Take some proof of address (utility bill with your name on it, land papers, rental agreement) and HH will probably arrange for your file to be sent from KK. That way, your Imm history is here and life will be made easier for everyone.
If you do as the above, please let us know how you get on so we can advise others correctly if the need arises.
