Im still trying, in my more contemplative moments , to work out how the hell there are still any pandas about at all.

Y see how crap are Pandas at mating? We shove em in a cage and do all but actually physically insert male into female. We shove electroprods up the males starfish, load him up with panda viagra, even show him pictures of hot panda pole dancers......And they STILL wont mate.

In the wild they are so anti-social they either run away from each other or attack each other. In zoos you stick male and female things together and you get shagging. Stick two undrugged pandas in a cage and you get a bearfight. You have to dose at least one up on mogadon to make sure you still have two left in the morning.

And when they do actually mate and drop sprogs, the mother usually abandons em or squishes em. They are the worst mothers in the world.

So how the hell, before we and zoos and electroprods came along, did they ever survive?

I tell you, its a good job old Charlie Darwin went to the Galapagos and not China. One look at pandas and hed have thrown The Origin Of The Species into the waste paper bin and taken up woodwork, a broken and downcast man.
