She is not spanish ...and the place is not Italy or Spain. She is wearing a costume for her work

...but she was born in Spain. Her name Adelina Patti and she bought this little pad (Craig y Nos Castle) in Wales to kip down in. She was an opera singer and liked to travel in style, hence the Pullman carriage.

I'd figured out she must be a Victorian opera singer playing Carmen, but I went a bit off course by paying too much attention to the Indian looking chaps by the train, so I wasn't expecting the castle to be in Wales!
