and the crowd go wild as Steve G hammers it home into the back of the net
Steve G gets it totally right....its the opening bands for the Woodstock Music Festival on the 17th August 1969
1 is the Grease Band
which makes 2 ... JOE COCKER....he was second on the bill after the Grease Band and just before Country Joe.....who is photo 2 but act 3, and Ten Years After who are photo 3 but act 4. When 1 is 1, 2 is 3 and 3 is 4 .... see?
And here is Joe, specially dedicated to Steve, in what I think is THE performance that sums up Woodstock..sends shivers down my spine anyway....

A different kind of History challenge for the braves. In the early 20th century plenty of Finns, among with other people from Europe, immigrated to North America. among the most famous (in Finland) was Hiski Salomaa http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiski_Salomaa.
He actually recorded some music on North-American soil in the 20's. Now my questions is: Which different places in North-America or elsewhere can you non-native Finns spot from this song of Hiski's?
Please, list them here: yes, the song is in Finnish, that's the challenge.
That's a tough one BG; I think there's a line about Mexico and perhaps Honolulu but apart from that I'm lost. (And they're unlikely places for a Finn to be in 1920!)

Sorry, not even close Migrant, in fact more like a half a world away.
I think Migrant was referring to the pictures accompanying BG's Finnish song!
As for the memorial bridge, I haven't a clue where it is but the design in the railings seems to illustrate an explosion or something of that nature.

Oh, sorry Migrant, I hadn't viewed the Finnish thingy.
But think explosions & war (and half a world away from a Redwood forest in Northern California)!

I didn't listen to it yet, just saw the images like Steve G said.
I'll listen today and see what I get!
