2018 World Cup
Re: 2018 World Cup
I read today that Grant Wahl, an American football (soccer) journalist is mounting a campaign to take on Blatter in an election and hopes to depose the lying, cheating money-grabber (no bias there from me!). He just needs one nomination from one of the national associations, will any of them have the guts?
Re: 2018 World Cup
The FIFA farce trundles on, if Blatter had an ounce of integrity he would resign or postpone the election. Of course he won`t do either.

Agreed. Quite enjoying the car crash being played out on TV though.Arcadian wrote:The FIFA farce trundles on, if Blatter had an ounce of integrity he would resign or postpone the election. Of course he won`t do either.

Did anyone else see Blatter`s press conference? Unbelievable arrogance. See what happens when "Johnny Foreigner" gets to be in charge.lol.BaaBaa. wrote:Agreed. Re: 2018 World Cup
Hi there y'all sports football/soccer enthusiasts around the Globe!
According to the reknowned German News Weekly Der Spiegel that FIFA is planning a radical change in Football format as it played today. Starting from 2022 World Cup will not be played in 2x 45 Min. Format as wevare familiar with these days.... they are proposing that Football matches of the 3x 30 Min. Format with two 10 Min. breaks in between. Of course FIFA is denying any of this but sources say anything is possible according to FIFA and to der Spiegel source it would be more lucrative in it's first statement!
(It took me a while to find this topic not start another one!
What do you think about the change in Format that FIFA is proposing?
To devide the Football in three quarters of 30 Min. Instead of the current 2 halves of 45. Min!

I knew what you meant

Think it's to suit the Qatar tournament in 2020 due to the heat factor

The awarding of both tournaments to Qatar & Russia should be reviewed & overturned after all the corruption that was uncovered recently with FIFA

Remember, no one can make you feel inferior without your consent.
Re: 2018 World Cup
When the world cup was held in the USA FIFA were under pressure from advertisers to have 15 minute sessions so they could get more coverage. Thankfully they failed. BTW the temperature in Doha today is 47c. Good luck in 2022!
