When Arsenal played Barca, Rafa was a guest in the studio, Richard GMTV Keyes asked him how do you beat Barca! He gave more time to Jamie Redknapps cliched English heart Bollocks than he did Rafas right footer at leftback to cover Messi.

So would you prefer to listen to a tactical genius or Jamie Redknapp?
Well, we all know what you think of Rafa. But how you compare a manager, that to many, including me, was unfit to manage at the level Liverpool aspire to, to a knob like JR, is irrelevant. They both know more about the game at that level than you and I. Isn't that the beauty of the game? That Joe Public can have and share these views?

But I learnt early on there is something called 'football intelligence'. Its that, in my opinion, that separates those that make it to the rest of us. Hence your Rooney's et al. That is the basis to all great players and its instinctive, so thats why I listen to those that have played at a higher level.

You've lost me.

Are you referring to Benitez as the unfit manager?

The guy who's won more European trophies than your club and consistently beat and outwitted your best ever manager?

Special 1 my ass.

You've said yourself that you know less than Jamie Redknapp. That's semi retarded.

Will being the 2nd team in Manchester satisfy the Glazer's? Oh I forgot, its just their debt vehicle! :naughty:
Could be this is Citeh's year for the title.Uniteds weakness is their midfield and that problem hasnt really been addressed.
But Chelsea were an ageing team a couple of years ago and little has been done to rectify this.
Drogba 33,Lampard 33,Anelka 32,Ferreira 32,Malouda 31,Benayoun 31,Terry 30,Cole 30........Essien crocked,never likely to be as effective again.
Chelsea would have won the title last year if some bright spark hadnt decided to get rid of Ray Wilkins but all that would have proved is that you were the best of a mediocre bunch....a la United.
Better hope that the ladyboy,Torres, starts to repay his 50m fee by banging in a few goals.....the last 3 months of last season I doubt if he repaid a fiver in value for money !
We're all on our uppers,we're all going skint,

I certainly agree about it being an ageing team and that is a concern. Though Wilkins after leaving, dismissed this, saying they are the fittest bunch of players around, but age is age and can't be beaten.

They beat Villa 2-0 the other night and the reports on the clubs website seems to emphasise the differing fitness levels between the two - hope we haven't peaked too soon! :D

I've scratched Barton from my Fantasy League lineup, where does everyone think he'll end up? He was always a good FL price and performed well, half of the time at least. If this were ice hockey I guess he would be called an enforcer. Pete

I'm going to hang fire, He's capable of playing for better sides than Newcastle.

Everton wouldn't surprise me. They are skint and he's a fan.

Arc welding is indeed no easy task, especially if you know in just a few short weeks the system you've been working on will be put to the test under extreme pressures. People will be gauging your work round the clock looking for any holes or signs of cracks, leaks and weaknesses as you attemp to pass the test. What am I?....

You could be right, but then again you could turn out to look like a right plonker.
