Setanta has the best coverage for rugby - according to their website, they will be showing every game of the Rugby World Cup.

Another possibility is Astro, which gets the transmissions via Setanta, but not as comprehensive I think.
Astro also says on its website that it will be showing the Rugby World Cup via Star Sports.

I'm been following the current Tri-Nations series on Astro over the last few weeks without any problem, for example.

For those interested, Astro also shows live cricket, such as the current England vs. India series.

Can you use the true visions dish Barry or will I need another dish and box and any recommendations for setting the system up?

To use Astro and True, you need a True-type dish with 2 LNBs and a Dreambox (requires Internet connection).

You can then cancel your True subscription.

You will then have Platinum plus HD for the True package. Subscription using this system for True and Astro is 400 baht/month

To get Setanta, you'll need one of those static black dishes people use just to get Thai TV (it also as the English-language Russian news station, Dutch station, etc.)
The alignment is then simply changed to point at the sat transmitting Setanta, and that's it.
Setanta can then also be controlled via the same Dreambox and remote via the multiswitch
