Thanks. I go to the the gym on the 3rd floor, so will check it out. More convenient than walking up Petchkasem Rd to their office.

Never got my usual monthly bill around the 28th, and I think my prepaid six-month package for Premier 3Mb/1Mb has expired and want to switch to non-Premier 9Mb.

ROFL I went in today to pay my bill and she asked me if I wanted to switch to 9/1 as it was only 13 baht more .... but I told her I had asked if I could do that last month when I moved and she had said no then ... we had a good laugh at that!

I had the fancy pants expensive Premier account

Now I have the basic 500bht one

Difference in service? NONE AT ALL.

Downloads fast, uploads slow...but Im a grand in pocket.

As for the staff in the shop....thick and unhelpful, rude and ignorant. I could train chimps to do their jobs better....they would certanly spend less time chatting to each other and on the phone and ignoring customers.

They cut me off yesterday ... again - two days after the bill was due ... the bill which they never sent.

mate been there sooooo many times.....they have cut me off numerous times, even after the bill was paid. Even if you pay three months in advance.

Bills they do not send, reminders they do not issue.

After one such incident I got Mrs S to call HQ in BKK....they said it was too much work to send bills, so they cut you off to make sure you go in and pay the bill. Thai logic at its finest. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

Got cut off once whilst the other half was actually paying the bill we were on the phone talking to each other at the time the girl was checking our account and obviously did something wrong, her exclaimation at the same time as I lost signal gave the game away, - of course it was not her fault but she would send the technician out! When he arrived he spent a while looking at things pronouced that our phone line was at fault and he would go and check it out! He had not even got to the gate as our internet sprang back into life.

Not trying to be funny, but I assume there's a good reason you still use them?

It's just that I have TT&T at c.1100 bt per month and although I've had no major problems in 4 years I was thinking of transferring to 3BB as I heard it was now the same company, but that 3BB had better speed and was slightly cheaper.

Last time I checked, my TT&T speed was something like 2.7 down and 0.7 up.

I tried to set up an automatic Bank Debit about a year ago. (my Thai daughter did it all, and in her name as well). They accepted the paper work and said it was ok. Of course, nothing happened, so after a couple of months I went in to their office to find out why, and that ignoramus manager said that they cannot process Bank Debits! :banghead:
Ended up having to get the bill posted to Bangkok, as I am not in Hua Hin all the time.

I have True in Bangkok, which is also set up for automatic debit. Some teething problems at first, but they sent a notice each time I logged in, advising me that the bill had not been paid. Why the hell 3BB cannot do that is beyond me. It cannot be such a difficult thing to set up. :cuss:

Never been in the shop and the counter staff in MV are always polite and on the ball .. I was joking with her about the upgrade and she got it and for just under 1000 baht 9mb and 1mb seems a good deal. Maybe it's just me but it was down the other day and I rang the help line and straight away the lad said yes problem in your area will last 2/3 hours ... I was happy with that reply ;)

I went to the 3BB-office and paid for one year to avoid any billing problems. I even got an 8% discount.

Odd that my experience is the opposite.

I wanted to change my 5Mbs Premier plan to non-Premier 9Mbps a few weeks ago. I explained it (in English, granted) to the gal at the Market Village kiosk and she nodded understanding then told me her computer was down but there was an office in Tesco where I could do that.

I was surprised that 3BB would have two offices in the same mall, but when I made sure she understood what I wanted, she picked up the phone and talked (in Thai) to someone, and then she said, yes, I could do it in Tesco.

So, I stroll down to Tesco looking for a 3BB office, even asking at the food court and Tesco customer service counter and was greeted with shrugs of shoulders.

Returned to the third floor kiosk and explained my experience. She then found her computer was working and changed my account on the spot. She said it was a complete done deal, so I asked her what my new username/password would be. She looked puzzled, and made another phone call. She launched some app that let the person on the other end of the phone remotely control her computer and they showed her how to get me the new log-on info.

Just imagine how pleased I would have been to return home and realize that, yes, she (finally) changed my account but that I couldn't log on.

I would rate her politeness as "neutral," since she wasn't rude, though she certainly was not apologetic over any of her incompetence, including the 15-minute wild goose chase she sent me on. I would rate her "on the ball"ness quite low...

I've been to the main office just up Petchkasem Road from MV, and had nothing but prompt, competent and polite service from the ladies at that counter.

Always found the counter staff absolutely fine. OK sometimes the girls are a bit chatty to each other when they are serving you but thats the same the world over. Only time I have encountered below average service is from the guy who seems to be in charge of the service staff. If I need service I call the helpline and as long as you call in the morning its usually sorted out that day.
