Yes, a chicken in every pot and a bribe (for a vote) in every pocket...
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

[quote="Takiap"]Yes Pete, it seems Thaksin is prime minister again. Where else in the world can a convicted criminal get elected, and they wonder why nobody takes them seriously. Well actually they don't think about such things because they're too concerned with Farang protesters. Anyone have the general's number?.....lol.

If the charges laid against the axis powers in Nurenburg were repeated, every US president and a few British prime ministers would be behind bars.
(e.g.Weapons of Mass Destruction)

The stakes are so high at these levels of power so laws are changed to suit. Us small fry don't matter whatever country we are from or live in.

Here's hoping it doesn't kick off anyway.

Well it is obvious the selections offered in this poll were politicaly BIASED horse s**t because as time goes on Yinglach and Mr Angry (from the posters Chewit i think is his name) have seen their popularity soar and now every news programme is filled with DRUG BUSTS and CASINO RAIDS which is what the people of this country voted them in for. their rise in popularity quite clearly shows even PADIPAT voters agree with it.
OBSERVATIONS
1. I seem to remember another prime minister with a similar if not identical awareness of what the people wanted
2. During the reign of have a s**t Casinos and drug dealers grew like mushrooms and the policing of drugs and illegal gambling was as rare as rocking horse s**t
3. The imbecile Farangs that think the military is a good idea are IMBECILES read Ghaddaffi, Myanmar et al
4. The Farangs that thought have a s**t was their saviour, here to push a farang friendly agenda pray tell what he did answer zero so please carry on dreaming be my guest
5. TRT, PPP and now Phua Thai have WON the last four elections ALL OF THEM
6. Padipat have not won jack s**t
7. Having had their arses handed to them on a plate FOUR times Farangs supporting the corrupt opposition should consider THEMSELVES AS uneducated illiterate and stupid and cease calling the Thai population those names it is arrogance personified having supported a FOUR time set of corrupt loosers proves that in spades

Finally i did not vote in this purile poll have a nice day

TWO months of total SILENCE from the DEMOCRAT(har dee har har)/LOOSERS supporters

Plus had to wait for the cards to fall being that my support for the poor was a well known fact and a very very lonely place it was on this forum
What pleases me is the yellow shirt THUGS, the military and the patently rigged election commission have been forced by the electorate to back off and that gives me much more hope for the wellbeing of this country and the future of my new Thai wife

Are you nuts man? If you have a personal feud with someone then sort it out off the forum, the rest of us couldn't give a fcuk.

Both political sides are lunatics in Thailand..............

As far as young wives are concerned for old dudes, well..........ramming it down throats/reminding folks all the time is unwise as it is easy for so many to 'turn-the-turrets' and take a huge 'broadside' on this one dude really, some of us marry girls of our own age.

The reason people don't do it (take a pop) is because it's not worth it really and anyone who has more than a few posts knows it, unless they are a troll, goes with the territory.

Why do you 'Lord it over' so many when it's obvious no-one really gives a shit? :?

This forum is not some personal bitching portal. :?

Why do you think you and your target for your ire are so important to the other couple of thousand other readers?

Nothing angry or personal at all, more factual, no punctuation used in that post of mine to imply any exclamations (showing feeling/excitement) that may lead to an excited response over said thread subject matter (actually it was question central), depends what tone of voice you read the post to yourself within your mind, try to read it with a normal tone with no exclamation marks (which I used none of anyway).............however, prejudice will play a part in the preconceptions of reading it in whatever style you feel comfortable with...up to the reader......script can be misleading with it's inferences.

People always believe what they feel comfortable with........I guess.

This is not the first time said subject has used said portal as a mouth-piece.....so I considered it as a point worth highlighting as not the first time it has manifested itself.

Aside - Explanation is only forthcoming due to respect for the entity asking the conflicting response/question as said entity has easily and obviously gained enough respect to warrant detailed response.

Well, I'm glad that's said!

Bloody hell Sarge.......calm down lad. There probably isn't a politician in the world worth putting your health at risk. I think what most anti PTP people are saying, is simply that the lady at the wheel is merely a puppet. The same was said of the last leader. Now, nobody in their right mind can possibly say Taksin isn't calling any shots here.

Lastly, she's only just come to power, so I think it's still to soon to say whether she'll be any good or not. Sure, the cost of fuel has come down, so she gets her first gold star. The news is say the price of rice is likely to go up by 25% shortly, which in turn will see any other gold stars taken away. After all, it's the poor that suffer the most when the price of rice goes up, and 25% is one hell of a bloody jump.

Anyway, as I've said before, politics don't interest me.

Not having a dig here, but you mentioned places like Libya in your post. What about Iraq? Sure life wasn't ideal for the locals, but it's been a whole lot worse since the west interfered. Libya? take away the oil and nobody would have given a shit about helping rebels.

I can say the same about my country...............while oppression was certainly wrong, people could walk the streets safely, both young and old, male or female. Nowadays it's a cesspit of murder, rape, child rape, violent robberies, and etc. Clearly democracy has failed miserably, and no, I'm not saying that as a "white" South African. According to SA government statistics, more black South Africans are fleeing the country than ever before.

I'll stick by my guns - democracy works great, but it doesn't work everywhere, period.

Now, nice to see you posting again, although maybe it could have been a more lighthearted post.. :thumb:

Takiap you missed out that having won an overal majority and with no nil nana requirement to do so formed a coalition. Hardly divisive politics is it which the TRT PPP and Phua Thai have been accused of ad nauseum by the Padipat supporters.
Bringing Chewit into her coalition and giving him an almost free hand to carry out the ONLY POLICY of his party, getting rid of corruption, was inspired (how many times have we heard PAD supporters on this forum bitch about corruption and seen nothing from the have shit regime in response. DW only got a small compensation by the US embassies interventon and i dont know how far that has got, it certainly wasnt because of anything the previous govt did of its own account.

The fact that at last the police are now having to do the job they are paid for is something i salute and support because I hope it will save some other poor sap going through what i had to.

You see as a right of centre conservative/republican the main planks of my political beiefs are (and i judge any party by them)
1. The country is controlled by the rule of law
2. The police enforce the law with out fear or favour and without any corruption
3. The judiciciary is independent and dispences law fairly and unbiasedly
My point about Padipat is they are supposed to be right wing and yet do not even vaguely regard the 3 points above as having any validity at all, in fact in my experience they do absolutely nothing and only resort to law to steal elections.

Having had my life disintegrate under me due to drug dealers (my stepson) illegal gambling and illegal moneylenders (my ex wife and my house) i have every reason to be happy with the new government

I also feel have a s**t got far more leeway and latitude than he was due and the silence about Yinglacks decision to form a coalition shows that these people are sore loosers

I agree it IS early days but they are a good indicaton for the future i just could not wait until hell freezes over before a member of this forum would give her some credit for at least trying to unite the country (oh sorry its Taksin after all she is ony a puppet)

I have to check on this more in case he has flip-flopped but in July Chuwit and his Rak Prathet Thai party belonged to the opposition, not the coalition. Pete

You may well be right Pete, but on TV he is front and centre on every drug and casino bust hardly anything to do with the opposing parties participation or assistance. He could never do it without the explicit approval and support of the encumbant govt in power right now, now could he.
And one has to ask the question why didnt the opposition use him in the previous four years ????? if law and order was so important to them ?????
And if he is in the opposition doesnt that speak volumes as to who caused the divisions in this country in the first place (yellow shirt thugs) and more importantly give credit to who is healing them. Have a s**t had the opportunity to unite it but the dictator would not let his puppet play.
And if it is Taksin who is pulling the strings who cares I am sure we all want this country stable happy and prosperous, drugs, gambling, illegal money lending and corruption eradicated will go a long way to achieving that IMHO
for every addict there are scores of innocents adversely effected and it is the innocent people that need the protection.
It was the Thai people who voted FOUR times for these policies which speaks volumes as to what the Thai people know is best for them and their country.
