My thoughts were, opening ceremonies? What a waste of time and money. This is rugby not stage managed choregraphy. Bah humbug!

Interesting quote from Francois Pienaar, "forwards win matches, backs decide by how many points"

But try here http://livetv.ru/en/eventinfo/86187_new_zealand_tonga/

Guys are telling me a lot of the streams are being pulled/disabled due to legal issues though.... seems the authorities are clamping down on the RWC

Anyway, hope you get to see it.

Something I guess I should have posted earlier, but some ''rules'' of the game for those new to Rugby or the Rugby World Cup...

pharvey, my dear old chap, you're getting waaayyyy too excited about the whole affair and clearly need to be tied into your armchair so that you can listen to tapes of Welsh Methodist sermons and sheep music (that's like whale music but with one or two obvious differences...) and be force-fed cheese on toast

Wales will NOT win the World Cup!!
Neither will England, of course, but I will, however, grant you this...

Good luck to England, Wales, Ireland, Scotland (chortle)
This is the way

Dear God man, you're having a giraffe - it's not possible to get over excited with regards to rugby, especially over a such a wonderful global tournament such as this..... granted, the inclusion of club sides such as England does tend to annoy some of the purists (not me of course).

Perhaps not orthodox, but I'm not so much into the ''sheep music'', preferring the melodies of Tom Jones or the Welsh National Choir to be subtly piped into the ''entertainment area'' whilst viewing teams falling before the steamroller that is to be the Welsh rugby team of this tournament............

''Cheese on toast'' - is this some bizarre snack? Sounds a little dull, perhaps some Lava Bread could liven it up! :D

And of course, good luck to the ''home nations''

Oh....... and THAT try - simply incredible........

Congrats to New Zealand on an opening win (41 vs 10) and fine opening ceremony.

Big hand to Tonga for a superb second half performance (losing just 12 v 7) and never say die attitude - here's to a great tournament ahead.

Lots of mistakes by the All Blacks, I`m sure they will improve that side of their game as the tournament goes on.

The ALL BLACKS are just warming up. :thumb:

They mustn't falter this time though after having waited for a second win for 24 years! :tsk:

The New Zealand Herald are running a daily Choke-0-meter. Still, on home soil they should be OK
