Ballogie: As far as smokes are concerned, if you prefer to smoke a strongish brand of cigarette then try Krung Tong (Gold City 90) instead of Marlboro. Same strength, but a lot cheaper - 58 Baht a packet.

Beer will vary in price depending on location. A large bottle of Singha outside the touristy areas will cost around 60 baht. If you prefer some company and/or music while you drink, then a small bottle may cost between 85 - 100 baht.

... or between 100 and 200 at some of the big hotels or more upscale venues. I paid well over 100 baht for a small Sing in the bar (Stonehead?) that used to be on the second floor at the corner of Petchkasem and Chomsin (or Dechanuchit). Had the one beer, a drink for the missus, and never went back. I think they've gone out of business now... wonder why? :P
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I dont smoke, but my brother does. I think there about 70 baht a pack for the pm brand. Beers vary, but on soi 80 at say player bar you can get a small singha for 55 baht, or theres a bar up from there doing buy 2 get one free, so it works out at 45 baht a bottle. Please dont think these prices are writen in stone as you can as said above go to a big hotel and get charged a heap.

L&M cigs are about 65bht a pack, regarding beer prices, just look for the happy hours around the town, you'll get plenty of choice.
