2011 F1 Pool

As all of us know, there is nobody in Formula One that you want to beat more than your team-mate. This, it would appear, doesn't just apply to the drivers. Grand Prix weekends do seem to lend a certain sparkle to the Para/spark or Vital/handy household. Let me explain...

A couple of weeks ago I checked in to the site to see what was going on, only to discover that for one very short-lived week, I was at the top of the heap. Well, as I'm sure you can imagine, I could hardly contain my excitement. So much so that I even risked venturing into Ms Spark's boudoir to inform her of my amazing achievement. "Guess where I am in the league!" I demanded of her. Of course, she couldn't instantly reply, so I felt it incumbent upon me to help her by demonstrating the now traditional Vettel mono-digit signal, just to help her understand the significance of the whole thing.

The poor dear lady was obviously excited, as was I, but, somehow, in her excitement, she appeared confused. In her desperate attempt to congratulate me and emulate my mono-digital salutation, she seemed to get her fingers confused...

I'm starting to sound like a parrot, Vettel does it again, Vettel does it again....awk!

8/12 of us picked him to win. He must be close or have already broken the record for most wins in a season. Michael Schumacher finished in 5th and may be his best finish of the season? He is creeping up and next year may see him back to his winning ways. Jaime Alguersuari also finished in the top 10 for the second race in a row, I think.

Parahandy and I had the best race with 14 points, and we are now tied again at 206, with Randy at 204 and Pitsch at 203.

Abu Dhabi now up in two weeks on November 13. Good luck to all!

^^Speaking as a fascinated and non-participating spectator, I would be most grateful if the F1 Pool administration could publish the entire placings weekly, rather than just the top three (who, it seems to me, have retained their positions through lack of imagination rather than any insight into the sport... Vettel, Vettel blah-blah-blah).
It is impossible for me to follow the progress of my personal favourite, Vital Sparkplug, as sexual discrimination is keeping her from a podium place.
I feel a quad bike challenge coming on... or a couple of hours at the karting track!

I beg your pardon! It takes the highest degree of skill as they list the teams by point standings, and you have to know how to check a box correctly.

Ms. Sparkplug has 199. Pete

What a shocking suggestion! I'll have you know that sexual discrimination has absolutley nothing to do with it. If you were better informed, you would realise that last year Ms Plug beat me nearly every weekend. Luckily, this year the beatings have slowed to a trickle and have almost stopped...

I think the season is going to get longer and longer. Another race in the States has just been added, with Manhattan as the visual back drop, but I don't know which year it starts. The yearly break is about 4 months now and I would think that will get down to 3 if they keep adding races. Pete
