I'm not really sure whether I'm allowed to do this, or whether I will be run out of town by the posse, but I do feel that we F1 fans need to look to the future, and, more importantly, we need to see what some of the big wigs in the sport see as the future.

How much bigger can you get than Uncle Bernie?

This link might help explain what is going on in the sport, and also help to lay some of our worst fears to rest...

Hope it helps -

Don't forget your picks for today's Abu Dhabi race. I did and didn't get a reminder so here's the chance Parahandy and others. I've lost the pre-qualifying early bird 1 point this week. :( Pete

See how fortunes can change quickly! Terry had the best race with 13 points, with only RZR picking Hamilton to win. No one picked Webber to have the fastest lap. With one race remaining it's Parahandy at 218, Pitsch at 215, and Randy and I at 214. Last up is Brazil on November 27. Good luck to all. :thumb: Pete

Thanks for omitting Oz from the league standings & making me bottom :(

I shall be seeking legal advice

I could have included Oz, but he dropped out of the game a long time ago - didn't seem much point. IMHO it is you, me, jjbones and Richard battling for the wooden spoon

Personally I shall be looking back through previous races for signs of the corruption and race fixing that has obviously taken place to leave me in such a lowly position within the league. I too shall be seeking legal advice, but with Pete organising the HHAD league is he at all culpable?

Oz must have resigned, or they dropped him automatically after too many weeks of inactivity. Parahandy's check just arrived today, so my job is finished.  Pete

Shush, boy, shush. I thought that we were going to keep quiet about that particular business.

By the way, my apologies, Pete, for telling you that the race was definitely next weekend...

Yes, those bloody Greeks have a lot to answer for.
In Parahandy's case it is sadly more likely to be a case of in vino veritas.
This is the way

I have to thank both the Romans and DM for their observations regarding my affection for the grape, but also have to question their accuracy. That said, "In Beer Chang, veritas," somehow doesn't quite slip off the tongue in the same way...

Back to the business in hand...

Unfortunately, Old Sparkle has been at it again with the hand-signal thing.

We were away last Sunday so it was Monday evening when we watched the race, and, since there is a bit of a competitive streak involved with Sparkle, she was on the Internet as the chequered flag fell, to check the pool results. She returned in high dudgeon, informing me that I was in the lead of the HHAD pool as well as the Force India Fans pool, which I must admit that I don’t remember joining. “So,” she said in a somewhat assertive manner, “you are now in the lead of not one but...”

At this point, the sheer gravitas of the situation, not to mention the excitement and euphoria, hit her and rendered her temporarily speechless. Nothing daunted, she insisted in continuing to demonstrate to me the number of leagues of which I seemed to be in the lead in a somewhat digital manner.

I’m sure that’s what she really meant.

Don't forget your picks for this last race. There are some rumours about that Vettel is suffering from the flu, Hamilton has a badly infected big toe on his right foot, severe storms are expected in Brazil, and there is some earthquake damage from tremors this week. Pete
